Amy Winehouse Award Gets Left In the Can
Winning a major industry award for musical accomplishments is something most singers and bands dream of. But it looks like, once again, Amy Winehouse has proved that she’s unique.
At Monday night’s Q Awards, the “Rehab” singer won the award for “Best Album.” Unfortunately she didn’t’ even bother to show up and accept.
Instead, up-and-coming artist/producer Mark Ronson graced the stage to pick up Winehouse’s trophy. Let’s hope he’s a better producer than delivery boy… he left the award in the men’s room of a bar near the awards show.
A witness told press, “I thought it wasn’t real when I first saw it. But then I looked at the newspapers and saw the Q Awards were on…and Amy Winehouse didn’t collect her prize. I’m sure the Q Awards organizers wouldn’t be too happy it’s been left in the bar…she should really be there to pick it up.”
