Britney "Considering" Shooting Video For Madonna Tour
A Britney Spears insider tells News that Britney and Madonna soon might appear onstage together…sort of.
“She is considering doing a video piece for Madonna’s tour,” says the source. Her video would appear on giant screens onstage. The European leg of the Sticky & Sweet tour starts next month.
The source called a report in London’s Sun newspaper “wrong” in saying that the Material Mom has invited the former Mouseketeer to perform with her and is taking further interest in her comeback.
New Kids! New Edition! New Duet!
In what could be the greatest collaboration since Superman and Batman formed the Justice League, the reunited New Kids on the Block have teamed up with the reunited New Edition to save the worldor at least make thirtysomething suburban moms swoon.
“Donnie Wahlberg had this idea for a few months, looking for that one track for all of them,” producer Nadir “RedOne” Khawat tells People. “And I think we found it.”
The track, “Full Service,” was recorded last week and is set to appear on NKOTB’s upcoming album.
“It sounds very universal and melodic and has both sides in it: the R&B, which is New Edition, and the pop side for New Kids,” adds RedOne, calling the song “very uplifting.”
Whaddya think: Is “Full Service” going to lift up the oldsters to the top of charts or over the shark? Comment away…
Huey Lewis’ Pineapple Express Theme Song

The rumors are true. Seth Rogen was able to convince Huey Lewis to record a title theme song for the upcoming Judd Apatow stoner comedy Pineapple Express.
“It is called Pineapple Express, cleverly,” director David Gordon Green told movieweb. “Our only input was, we told him we wanted it to sound like his 80s work that we loved so much. And we wanted to have the plot in it. And we wanted to have him say the title as many times as he could. There is a lot of alto sax. It is kind of like that ‘other’ Back to the Future Huey Lewis song. Not ‘Power of Love’ but ‘Back in Time’. Yeah.”
Here are the lyrics from the song’s chorus:
We got trouble,
we got to get out of here.
I’ve got you,
you’ve got me.
We are as high as we can be.
That’s all right.
How did we get into this mess?
Pineapple Express!
Sounds like an instant classic to me! Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until August 8th 2008 to hear it. But for now, enjoy this vintage music video for Huey Lewis & the News’ Power of Love which features a cameo of Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown with his time traveling Delorean.
Discuss: How cool is Huey Lewis?
The Crocodile Hunter’s daughter gets her own doll
The late Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin’s daughter will be getting her own doll. Bindi Irwin stars in Bindi the Jungle Girl on the Discovery Channel, a more child-friendly version of her father’s show.
The rubber doll will cost $15 to $20 with a portion going to efforts to breed endangered species and rescue animals. The doll will come with accessories including binoculars, a camera and other outback gear, as well as a cockatoo, wombat and python.
The talking version of the doll will speak catchphrases including “Crikey! Let’s go help wildlife,” and “You can make the world a better place.” The doll is being developed by Wild Republic, a division of K&M International Inc., based in Twinsburg, Ohio who also marketed the Steve Irwin doll shortly after his death.
I am somewhat torn about this news. On one hand, her fame (of which this is a part) seems mildly exploitative due to the tragedy of her father’s passing. On the other hand, a girl has to eat.
