Amy Winehouse Checks Out of the Hospital

Amy Winehouse Checks Out of the Hospital

It was a familiar scene last night outside of Amy Winehouse’s Camden London home.  The troubled singer was spotted by the paparazzi randomly going for a walk.

And as the “Rehab” songstress made her way to the chip shop, she held out an “ace of hearts” playing card, mentioning that it was for her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

According to Winehouse’s rep, she was discharged yesterday (June 30th) from the clinic where she was receiving inpatient care for her medical woes.  “She has left [the] hospital. She is continuing as an outpatient.  She will return for regular appointments for checkups.”

He continued, “There comes a time when you are ready to leave the hospital, and so she left. No one was trying to keep her there. It was completely up to her – everyone knew she would not stay there forever.”

Winehouse Hubby’s Victim Cleared of Charges

At least one person is making it out of the Amy Winehouse vortex of chaos.

The pub landlord who accepted a $400,000 bribe from Winehouse’s hubby and another man in exchange for dropping assault charges against themclearly neither the best-laid nor carried out of planshas been cleared of obstruction of justice.

The jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court found James King not guilty of the charge based on his claims that Blake Fielder-Civil and codefendant Michael Brown intimidated him into withdrawing his allegations.

The assault, which sparked Fielder-Civil’s current legal mess, stemmed from a June 2006 pub brawl that left King with a broken cheekbone.

Although King initially reported the incident to police, he later attempted to withdraw the complaint after, he claimed, Fielder-Civil enlisted the services of two middlemen to intimidate the barkeep into dropping the claims and sparing the assailants jail time.

King said he was bullied into not showing up in court as the prosecution’s key witness, taking the money and leaving the country for the duration of the trial. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the two middlemen videotaped their interactions with both sides and sold the footage to the Daily Mirror, which handed the tapes off to police.

The verdict doesn’t necessarily bode well for Fielder-Civil, who copped a guilty plea to the assault and perversion of justice charges. He has been in jail since November of last year and faces up to five years in jail at his sentencing, which will be handed down next month.

Amy’s Hubby Offered Pounds for Pounding Pete?

Looks like the British media weren’t the only ones suspicious of Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty’s palling around.

Winehouse’s incarcerated hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil, apparently was, too. And as a British court heard today, he was willing to put his money where his suspicions were.

A recently freed inmate from Pentonville Prison, where Fielder-Civil is currently locked up, testified in a separate case that he was offered roughly $40,000 by the Winehouse’s jealous mister to “smash to pieces” the Babyshambles rocker.

Richard Lyttle testified in Old Bailey Court Monday that Fielder-Civil made known “he would give £20,000 to anyone who done himcause him injuryhe was quite annoyed at the time,” after hearing that Doherty had paid a visit to Winehouse’s Camden home in the early morning hours.

When attorney Sir Desmond de Silva asked whether Fielder-Civil suspected infidelity, Lyttle replied, “Yeah.”

“Did he say ’smash him to pieces’?” the lawyers asked.

“That’s what he said,” Lyttle answered.

Lyttle made the damning revelation while testifying in the unconnected murder trial of two men. He claimed he befriended Fielder-Civil during their overlapping sentences, but admitted that he attempted to sell the story to the British tabloids for $10,000.

In addition to the Babyshambles beatdown, Fielder-Civil also allegedly disclosed, per Lyttle, that he had received several threats behind bars that there was a plot to abduct Winehouse.

Fielder-Civil pleaded guilty last week to causing grievous bodily injury and perverting the course of justice in his witness-tampering trial. He remains jailed pending sentencing on the charges.

Winehouse, meanwhile, is currently undergoing tests in a London hospital after suffering a brief fainting spell at her home earlier today.

Amy Winehouse’s Hubby: Headed to the Big House?

After more than seven months in lockup and multiple visits from his “I’m No Good” wife, Amy Winehouse, Blake Fielder-Civil has copped a plea with prosecutors in regards to the 2006 pub brawl that resulted in the bodily harm of a local bartender.

Fielder-Civil, who has been locked up since November, pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this week. He now faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison for an assault charge, and a maximum life sentence for a witness tampering charge.

Meanwhile, Fielder-Civil’s co-defendants in the case also pleaded guilty to charges related to the crime. The entire group will be sentenced at a later date.

As previously reported by , Winehouse, appeared in court last week to support her husband, but has yet to comment on the guilty plea. The troubled pop-star was interviewed by British police in relation to the conspiracy charge, but it was announced in February that they would not charge her in the case.

The 24-year old “Rehab” singer and Fielder-Civil married in Miami in May 2007. Along with his stint in jail, their first year of marriage has also seen her head to rehab to battle her much-publicized drug addiction.
