Bidding War for Lindsay Lohan

Bidding War for Lindsay Lohan

Not too long ago, we were worried that Lindsay Lohan was becoming a has-been, due to her poor reputation and bad box office sales.  But, to the contrary, it seems that she’s a hot item once again.

Reportedly, MTV Australia is locked in a fierce bidding war with MTV Russia over getting LiLo to appear at their respective versions of the Video Music Awards.

According to an Aussie MTV spokesperson, “We’re in negotiations with Lindsay’s people but it’s a money battle at the moment with MTV Russia.”

Why can’t she just do both?  Apparently the Aussie awards are April 27th, and the Russian gig is within a week.  But with Australia’s penchant for party girls (remember Tara Reid’s recent trip?) we’d be surprised if the Mean Girl ended up in Russia.

The Incredible Hulk: Three New Video Clips

Update: Added Third Clip.

The Incredible Hulk

Universal has released two new clips from The Incredible Hulk. I’ve been saying this for months, but I think Hulk will be the sleeper hit of the summer (maybe not in box office sales, but with fans). The first clip, which is available in HD on Yahoo or embedded below, features The Hulk destroying a police car in his fight with Abomination.

Two more clips after the jump.

The second clip shows what happens when the Hulk and Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) come under attack from the military. Watch the clip embedded below or in High Definition on MTV.com.

Update: IGN added a third clip, embedded below, which features a fight in the park between military commando Emil Blonsky and the Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk hits theaters on June 13th 2008.

Daniel Day-Lewis Named “Best Actor”

Daniel Day-Lewis Named “Best Actor”

Sure, huge box office sales and widespread admiration can go a long way in bolstering an actor’s ego. But nothing feels quite as good as winning a “Best Actor” Oscar.

Just ask Daniel Day-Lewis.  At Sunday night’s 2008 Academy Awards, the “There Will Be Blood” hunk walked away with arguably the highest honor of the night.

Day-Lewis graciously accepted his trophy, sporting the usual black tuxedo complete with bow-tie and a big smile.

Daniel’s fellow countrywoman Tilda Swinton also took home an Oscar for her role in “Michael Clayton.” Not a bad night for the English, eh?

Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan Visit TRL

Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan Visit TRL

Making a necessary stop in their promotional run, Michelle Monaghan and Patrick Dempsey were on hand at MTV studios to tape an episode on TRL today (April 28).

The duo are trying to boost box office sales for their new romantic comedy, Made of Honor, which hits theaters this Friday (May 2).

“Made of Honor” tells the story of “Tom and Hannah, who have been platonic friends for 10 years. He’s a serial dater, while she wants marriage but hasn’t found Mr. Right. Just as Tom is starting to think that he is relationship material after all, Hannah gets engaged. When she asks Tom to be her “maid” of honor, he reluctantly agrees just so he can attempt to stop the wedding and woo her.”

Talking about the upcoming release, Dempsey told press: “I’m very nervous about the movie coming out. It’s the first time I’ve had a movie coming out with my name above the title in a very long time. I hope people go see it and are satisfied with it, and will continue to come and see my stuff.”

But with his strong Grey’s Anatomy fan base, along with Michelle Monaghan’s beauty by his side, it would seem that Dr. McDreamy has nothing to be worried about.
