Cast photo for Dollhouse released
Fox has released the first official cast photo for the new series Dollhouse created by Buffy and Firefly mastermind Joss Whedon. The background appears to the be the set of “Dollhouse” itself (where all the agents to have new personalities and skills implanted are kept).
It looks like the Kens and Barbies aren’t even allowed to have footwear while they’re not working. Eliza Dushku, who plays the lead named Echo, is standing in the center. To the left is Tahmoh Penikett, better known as the actor playing Helo on Battlestar Galactica. I don’t recognize the two standing on either side of Dushku. To the right is Fran Kranz who just starred in Welcome to the Captain, Olivia Williams of Sixth Sense and Rushmore, and Harry Lennix from the Matrix movies.
Absent from the picture is Amy Acker, who played Winnifred Burkle on Whedon’s previous series Angel, but her role is only recurring and not technically a cast member.
I’m looking forward this series.
Venture Brothers 3.x cast photo made public
Jackson Publick (a pseudonym for Christopher McCulloch) has released the cast photo for The Venture Brothers Season 3 on his LiveJournal blog. You have to scroll down a little to see it. It has many old characters in it along with many new ones.
A few characters, such as J.J. Venture and Jonas Venture, Sr., appear twice. I don’t know what that means, but it does come across as foreshadowing. Clones, perhaps? The Venture Brothers has a history with cloning.
Most suspicious is the absence of Dean Venture from picture, one-half of the two Venture Brothers for whom the series is named. Another case of foreshadowing, or just an error on the part of the creator? I wonder.
(Update: On Publick’s blog, he mentions in a comment that Dean wasn’t included because there were no real character design changes for him. So much for my conspiracy theory.)
On the same page are a few screen shots from the coming season. I just caught up on season 2 a week or so ago, so I’m really looking forward to season 3.

This new Iron Man cast photo has hit the web courtesy of CS. The photo above shows (left to right) Terrence Howard as Jim Rhodes, Gwyneth Paltrow as Virginia ‘Pepper’ Potts, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, and Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane aka Iron Monger. Jon Favreau’s big screen adaptation hits theaters on May 2nd 2008.

Whenever you break up with someone you’ve been with for a substantial length of time there’s always those awkward first few times you see each other. For most of us, those times don’t take place in front of drama-hungry photographers. However, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake aren’t “most of us.”
For the premiere of “Shrek The Third,” stars Cameron Diaz (Fiona) and Justin Timberlake (would-be King Arthur) were confronted with their first public appearance since their breakup. The longtime pair split in late ’06.
Diaz arrived first, making her way down the green carpet in a bright-salmon Chanel dress, staying close to costar Mike Myers. Timberlake walked the press gauntlet just steps behind Diaz, though the two didn’t appear to make eye contact during interviews.
At the cast photo, Diaz and JT greeted each other with big smiles and a hug and kiss. Although they were more than cordial, the moment appeared a bit uncomfortable.
As the world watches to see what happens next, Justin and Cameron have a few more awkward moments ahead of them as they continue to promote their new movie.
