Clip of the Day: Holly Blows Celebrity Family Feud
The rules, like some guests, of Celebrity Family Feud seem to be pretty loose. She unshockingly gets it wrong, but we’re pretty certain Holly Madison from The Girls Next Door has an unfair advantage when asked about Hugh Hefner. Then, the other ladywho is in some way or other related to someone from The Sopranosis awarded control for what is clearly an incorrect answer. Hmmph. Someone call Charles Van Doren. We haven’t seen television this fishy outside of The Deadliest Catch.
Who’s the Celebrity Pooper Scooper?
Celebrities aren’t generally known for picking up after themselves, let alone their animals, so we have to tip our hats to this poop-scooping star who made a point of cleaning up after his dogthereby keeping the streets of New York City clean and giving his boldfaced bretheren a good name, at least for the time being.
So just who is this considerate actor?
It’s Elijah Wood.
The Lord of the Rings star and his girlfriend, Pamela Racine, took their Chihuahuas (one is out of frame) for a stroll after lunching at L’Orange Bleue Cafe in SoHo.
And while we’re totally on board with his plastic baggy campaign, we’d like to ask one more favor of Elijah: Pick up those leashes! It’s a concrete jungle out there, and if your dogs aren’t flattened by a taxi cab they’re likely to be squashed by a pack of stiletto-wielding fashionistas.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Celebrate Cup Win
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Celebrate Cup Win
Sure, she’s an international sex symbol and top Hollywood actress, but that doesn’t mean Penelope Cruz doesn’t enjoy a raucous game of soccer!
The “Vanilla Sky” actress and her actor boyfriend Javier Bardem were spotted in Madrid, Spain over the weekend showing their support for the Spanish national soccer team.
And wouldn’t you know it? Spain won the 2008 European Championship Final 1-0 over Germany. It looks like having a little celebrity boost was just what they needed.
After the game, Cruz and Bardem went to a local bar to celebrate, with Javier even going so far as to paint his face with Spain’s official team colors.
The Jonas Brothers Do Copenhagen
The Jonas Brothers Do Copenhagen
Nearing the end of their overseas touring, the wildly popular pop group the Jonas Brothers took a moment to pose for photographs at the First Hotel Skt. Petri in Copenhagen.
The teen sensations are currently finishing up the European circuit of Avril Lavigne’s Best Damn Tour - with a final performance scheduled tomorrow (June 28) at The Annexe in Stockholm, Sweden.
Meanwhile, many fans don’t realize that the youngest Jonas, Nick, has type 1 diabetes and has been performing from an early age while wearing an insulin pump.
In the July issue of the Diabetes Forecast, the Jonas family took a moment to talk about Nick’s struggle with diabetes, with his mother, Denise Jonas, telling: “Nick is so self-sufficient. Even at that age he was quick to learn how to give himself shots… And I wanted him to take over because I knew I wasn’t going to be around him all the time.”
Using his celebrity to help those suffering from the condition, Nick decided to establish a foundation with his brothers called Change for the Children, which gives concert tickets to young fans also stricken with type 1 diabetes.
