The Bachelor’s aftermath: Matt Grant moves out
A month ago, bachelor Matt Grant handed the final rose and a $60,000 engagement ring to actress Shayne Lamas in the season finale of ABC’s The Bachelor: London Calling. The final credits of the episode hadn’t even finished rolling when people (I include myself in the lot) were already betting on how long the two of them would last together. No, the couple didn’t officially break up yet, but Matt did move out of Shayne’s house.
People magazine’s website reports that since the final rose ceremony, Matt has been staying with Shayne in Century City, California. Even if I was not pleased with Matt’s choice (I was rooting for Amanda R.), I accepted it especially since he kept saying in interviews from the very beginning of the show that he found “the one.” As I watched the show, it looked like his love for Shayne was more infatuation mixed with a huge high school crush. Name a guy who wouldn’t want to date a hot-looking actress.
With The Bachelor’s track record, it is not surprising to hear today that Grant moved out. He claims that the couple is still engaged and going strong but that the two of them need space to grow. Grant, who lived in London, England, up until now, says that he needs to get his own life in L.A., get friends, get his career going.
I’m somewhat willing to buy his story. After all, Matt and Shayne didn’t have time to properly date and get to know one another in a normal setting before moving in together. Taking a step back may help them grow stronger in the end.

Contrary to rumors, Mrs. Beckham says that she’s not trying to further her acting career by befriending Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. She told press, “I’m happy doing what I’m doing right now. I’m a terrible actress. Everyone thinks I’m only friends with Tom and Katie to be in a movie but it’s not true. I’ve turned down lots of roles.”

The “Good Luck Chuck” actress was spotted at LAX airport last evening getting ready to board a flight. And it looks like she was traveling alone, with no signs of her fiancé Cash Warren.
Earlier in the day, Alba was spotted with Warren running some errands and house hunting in Century City, California. As her due date gets closer, it seems these two lovebirds are thinking about a new nest.
It was less than a week ago that Jessica was charming the audience in a gorgeous deep purple gown at the Oscars. And instead of dining at the swanky Governor’s Ball, Alba reportedly hit up In-N-Out Burgers.
On her Myspace blog, she wrote, “Instead of hitting up the Governor’s Ball or any other party, we opted for sweats and In-N-Out Burgers. Being preggers kind of takes the fun out of partying until the wee hours. Sleep always sounds so much better these days.”
She continued, “Another highlight was the fact that I didn’t mess up my lines or trip on my dress. I did have a stumble backstage… Cash ( Warren, her fiance ) caught [me]. Luckily all the photogs were taking pics of Cameron [Diaz] looking gorgeous in pink.”

The “Little Miss Sunshine” star was inducted into the Girl Scouts of the USA last night at the Zanuck Theater at the 20th Century Fox Lot in Century City, California.
And she looked overjoyed to be the guest of honor, wearing a red dress with white polka dots and, of course, her Girl Scouts sash. But there’s one thing that makes her even more excited- Nick Jonas!
Abigail recently confessed to having a celebrity crush on the Jonas Brothers. She told press, “I love the Jonas Brothers… I love them all. But Nick’s my favorite.”
