Charlize Theron Does Letterman, TRL
With her new movie “Hancock” poised to hit theaters next Wednesday July 2nd, Charlize Theron is working overtime on the grueling promotional trail.
And yesterday, the “Italian Job” babe was all over New York City giving the Manhattan paparazzi a run for their money. First she stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theatre to tape her interview for The Late Show With David Letterman.
And Miss Theron looked dazzling in a sexy black strappy-back knee-length dress teamed with a pair of black peep-toe heels.
As soon as the Letterman gig was done, Charlize hurried over to MTV’s Times Square studios to tape a segment for Total Request Live, along with her Hancock co-stars Will Smith and Jason Bateman.
Tinsley Mortimer Gets Into “Gossip Girl”
Tinsley Mortimer Gets Into “Gossip Girl”
Manhattan socialite Tinsley Mortimer, along with Gossip Girl cast members Blake Lively and Taylor Momsen, were spotted looking lovely in white ensembles on Monday morning as they got to work on the set of their hit CW show.
Currently filming in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York, Mortimer, aka The Tinz, recently scored herself a cameo on the juicy drama, fitting in quite nicely with her now fellow co-stars.
In related news, MTV recently shot down a reality show that was to feature Ms. Mortimer as the main attraction.
A source told Page Six, “A Tinsley reality show was shot by MTV. But they couldn’t use any of it. It’s collecting dust. She looked good but she just got dressed and went to parties every day and didn’t have anything interesting to say. It was incredibly boring. The project is dead.”
Alfre Woodard joins new Christian Slater series
Alfre Woodard has an exciting new role on the upcoming NBC drama My Own Worst Enemy. The Emmy winner is set to play Christian Slater’s boss in the spy series, which premieres this fall. If you followed TV’s coverage of the upfronts, you already know that the drama focuses on a man (Slater) living two different lives: the life of an ordinary suburban father named Henry and the life of a spy named Edward.
Woodard’s character, Mavis Heller, is Edward’s “tough and astute boss” at headquarters. Like Edward, Mavis is leading a double life as well. Her alter ego, Helen, will be a part of Henry’s suburban existence. My Own Worst Enemy premieres on Monday, September 29.
Apart from Christian Slater, Alfre Woodard’s other co-stars include Mike O’Malley, Yara Martinez, and Saffron Burrows. I’m becoming more curious about this show, especially now that Alfre Woodard has joined the cast. My Own Worst Enemy is airing after Heroes and Chuck on Monday nights, and it’ll be interesting to see how the dramatic side of the spy world compares to Chuck’s quirkier version.

Blake Lively: Looking Good at Work
With Gossip Girl attaining instant success, Blake Lively was thrust into the limelight almost overnight. And she’s handled it like a seasoned pro.
Yesterday the Serena van der Woodsen actress was spotted with her fellow co-stars on the set of her hit show in Southampton, New York looking summer sexy in a variety of printed dresses as she filmed her scenes for the day.
Once finished, Miss Lively was quick to find her on-screen and real-life boyfriend Penn Badgley for a little PDA and quality time together.
Gossip Girl is leading the pack with fourteen total nominations in this year’s Teen Choice awards. How many will they bring home? We’ll just have to wait til August 4th to find out.
