Hayden Panettiere is Feeling Whole Again
Making a daddy-daughter stop at her local Whole Foods grocery store, Hayden Panettiere and her father were spotted enjoying the afternoon yesterday.
The Heroes hottie donned a v-neck and jeans with a leather jacket and some retro Nike running shoes. Speaking of Heroes, Hayden seems to be missing her day job.
She told press, “We are crossing our fingers that we get back to work soon. We really do love working on our show.” In the meantime, it sounds like the animal rights activist has a new cheerleading project on deck.
Reportedly, she will play a popular school girl who becomes the object of a nerdy scholar’s affection in “I Love You Beth Cooper.” There’s no word on a release date yet, but we do know that Chris Cooper is the film’s director.
Lindsay Goes Into Labor
Lindsay Lohan is about to start sporting a baby bump. A fake one, mind you.
The starlet is taking a break from accompanying her DJ BFF around the globe and finally returning to her day job, signing on to star in the romantic comedy Labor Pains.
According to Variety, Lohan will star as an assistant at a prestigious publishing house who pretends to be in the family way in an attempt to avoid getting fired.
“It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present, and I love working on comedies,” said Lohan, who, aside from an Ugly Betty stint, has seen several acting prospects vanish of late.
Cheryl Hines, Chris Parnell, Connie Britton and Luke Kirby also star in the film, which begins shooting in Burbank on Monday.
Cameron Mathison dances into game show role
He’s an actor, a pin-up hunk, he’s tried Dancing With the Stars, and now he’ll see what it’s like to be a Jim Lange or Wink Martindale. Cameron Mathison has been tapped to host TLC’s new game show Your Place or Mine? Looking at those eyes, I’d let him redecorate my abode!
“I’m thrilled to be a part of TLC’s first game show, and extremely excited about the fun concept,” said Mathison. “I think both men and women, of all ages, are really going to enjoy the show because there’s a little something in it for everyone.” Yeah, TLC is pitching this as a family show. Hmm…we’ll see. If it can capture the Trading Spaces vibe, they may be on the right track.
The premise of the game is simple: two families play each other answering questions (a la Family Feud) with the chance to win new furniture makeovers for their homes — and they can steal items from each other’s teams, too. As the game progresses, insightful, helpful decorating and home improvement tips will be injected. After all, TLC stands for The Learning Channel; it can’t all be fun, fun, fun — although the network is suggesting that there’ll be twists and turns along the way. The latter reminds be of Let’s Make A Deal, you know, will you trade the cash in your hand for what’s behind door #2?
The show premieres Sunday, June 8 at 8 o’clock, and TLC is counting on Cameron to bring the eyeballs. The actor has a large, loyal fan base thanks to his tenure on All My Children as Ryan Lavery. He’s been on the soap since 1998, and while he does other things — like hosting SoapNet’s I Wanna Be A Soap Star for two years — he believes in the old axiom, “Don’t give up your day job.” Sage advice for an actor in today’s economy, if you ask me.

Big Brother 9 winners talk to Julie Chen
Last night Adam won $500,000 on Big Brother 9. Now, I know I heard Julie Chen tell them she’d be giving Adam his check and Ryan his winnings of $50,000 on The Early Show as is the standard practice. So, I turned on TV as I was heading out the door to my day job only to hear them say that Julie Chen has the day off today. Huh? I didn’t bother recording as they didn’t mention BB9 at all.
But there they were — taped after the finale last night. I found the video of the interview on the CBS website. It’s not embeddable, but if you follow me after the jump, I’ll bring up some of the main points … or, at least the ones I found interesting!
If you watch the video linked above, be warned — it repeats itself. It’s all very strange. There’s another video on the same site which is a mini-version of the one I linked. But this one includes all the content of that one and more. I suppose a strange check-giving presentation and interview is apropos for a strange season.
Here are some of the points brought up which caught my attention:
- Adam still declares he’ll be giving a portion to charity.
- Ryan is taking second place very well.
- Adam insists he didn’t throw the last part of the final HOH comp.
- Adam admitted had he won the last HOH, he would have taken Ryan to the final two.
- Adam thinks the house was very hard for Sheila and she’s probably a different (and better) person outside of the game.
- Heh. Adam mentioned that Sheila worried about too many “scenarials” — yes! He nailed her accent!
- In the article about the interview on the CBS site, it’s mentioned that Adam is planning to give $100,000 to the same autism group, Autism United, which led the outcry against him.
- Ryan said he left the game with his head held high, he wasn’t evicted out of there.
- Er, wait! He was indeed evicted early in the game!
The new season, Big Brother 10, is slated to start on July 13. Let’s hope for better hamsters!
