Rising Disney stars/BFFs Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have made the trip up north to Toronto, Ontario, as the duo arrived arm-in-arm to their hotel on Thursday afternoon (July 3).
With her Wizards of Waverly Place pal there for support, Miss Lovato is readying for her opening act duties for the Jonas Brothers - with the tour kicking off at the Molson Amphitheatre later tonight.
The North America tour then heads to the States, beginning with a show in Clarkston, Michigan on Saturday night - finally wrapping up on September 5 with a show in West Palm Beach.
As for Lovato, the blooming singer recently told press that “most of the music she’s interested in is too dark to make it on a Disney album” - so, as the story goes, she “turned to the Jonas Brothers to lighten her act up.”

As her star continues to rise, Disney actress Demi Lovato is suddenly finding herself under a much brighter spotlight at the young age of 15-years-old.
The Camp Rock cutie was spotted outside of her New York City hotel on Tuesday (June 24), graciously stopping to greet a crowd of fans that had quickly amassed near the hotel exit.
And while the success of Camp Rock (it was this past Friday’s highest rated show and the year’s top drawing cable entertainment program) has been great, it seems that “reuniting with her father for the first time in four years has been an even bigger thrill for the Ms Lovato.”
Talking to Star magazine about the reunion, Patrick Lovato said: “She’ll always be ‘my partner’ — that’s what we’ve always called each other. We have a special relationship that’ll never change, no matter how big she becomes.”
“I was at my dad’s house when I heard a knock on the door, and he yelled out that someone wanted to see me,” says Patrick. “I walked out of the bedroom — and there was Demi! I couldn’t believe how beautiful she was.The first thing she said to me was, ‘Hey, partner… I love you!’ We threw our arms around each other and began to cry.”
According to the Star report, Patrick’s marriage ended in 1994, and “after Patrick later moved to New Mexico and suffered some health problems, a wedge developed between him and Demi. For four years he didn’t see his daughter until she made a surprise visit in February.”
The Jonas Brothers: Ready to Rock This Summer
Squealing is about to be taken to a whole new level.
The frenzy that perpetually surrounds the Jonas Brothers will reach a fever pitch this summer, thanks to Joe, Nick and Kevin starring in the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock, premiering June 20, as well as the release of their third album, A Little Bit Longer, on August 12.
“Girls chase our cars after shows as it is!” Nick tells TV Guide in its June 16 issue regarding the expected rise in preteen adulation.
Let’s just hope they don’t thrash their cars out of envy when they see the brothers’ Camp Rock costar, Demi Lovato, not only gracing the magazine’s cover with the boys but touching Joe’s shoulder!
