Next Futurama DVD has a title - VIDEO
The next Futurama direct-to-DVD movie has a title. According to an interview with Futurama producer David X. Cohen, the subtitle of the movie will be Bender’s Game. It’s a pun on the classic sci-fi novel Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.
A preview of the video is on the latest release, The Beast With a Billion Backs, and involves the Planet Express crew caught in a Lord of the Rings-type alternate universe. It’s the Futurama team’s first foray into fantasy.
Cohen did state that the title has very little to do with the subject matter of the DVD. “We were all kind of shocked when we started talking about the idea, that we hadn’t done it before, really,” Cohen said. “It almost seems obvious that it’s something our fans would like.”
Bender’s Game is going to be released later this year. Having already enjoyed the first two direct-to-DVD releases since Futurama’s resurrection, I am looking forward to this one.
Corey Feldman Tells Corey Haim about The Lost Boys Sequel
If you didn’t know, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman have a new reality television show on A&E. You must watch this video clip which features Corey Haim hitting rock bottom when he hears from Feldman that there is a Lost Boys direct to dvd sequel and he wasn’t asked to be a part of the cast. We wrote about the sequel back in January, and much like Haim we also cried (okay, may-be not - but we got really angry - I swear). Check out the video clip after the jump.
Kevin Smith to make Animated Movie

A Clerks: The Cartoon direct to DVD feature film has been in the works for years now. But it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer, because Kevin Smith has slipped that he has found another animated feature he would like to do before that.
“Clerks Sell Out has been swapped out for a different straight-to-DVD cartoon flick,” Kevin Smith breifly mentioned on his website without going into further details.
Did Weinstein greenlight the long talked about Mallrats 2: Die Hard in a Mall (which began as a joke, and has long been an announced graphic novel in development) or a Bluntman and Chronic movie? We’ll have to wait to find out.
Smith also revealed that he hopes to start shooting on his previously announced horror film this fall.
