New Incredible Hulk Photo Reveals Captain America’s Origin
Universal has released a new batch of photos from The Incredible Hulk. The photo above is significant because it’s our first look at the super serum that will be (or was) used to create the superhero known as Captain America. Apparently in the film, William Hurt’s General Thunderbolt Ross tells Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky about a weapons program initiated during World War II to create a “super soldier” before giving him the injection.
Earlier this weekend, Captain America’s shield was spotted on Tony Stark’s workbench. You gotta love how the Marvel Universe is now working in unity on the big screen. More photos.

The Incredible Hulk: Three New Video Clips
Update: Added Third Clip.
Universal has released two new clips from The Incredible Hulk. I’ve been saying this for months, but I think Hulk will be the sleeper hit of the summer (maybe not in box office sales, but with fans). The first clip, which is available in HD on Yahoo or embedded below, features The Hulk destroying a police car in his fight with Abomination.

The second clip shows what happens when the Hulk and Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) come under attack from the military. Watch the clip embedded below or in High Definition on MTV.com.
Update: IGN added a third clip, embedded below, which features a fight in the park between military commando Emil Blonsky and the Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk hits theaters on June 13th 2008.
Leterrier talks Incredible Hulk, Raimi talks Spiderman 4
Despite the image, Hulk will not be battling Spiderman, however that would be kinda cool. The people in the know regarding these two films have spoken. Leterrier has spoke about the villains in upcoming The Incredible Hulk, and Sam Raimi has spoke about his involvement in the next Spidey outing, and where it is heading. Here they are:

“Obviously, General Ross is the villain, so he had to be in it,” added Leterrier. “But the Abomination, Emil Blonsky, was who Marvel wanted to put in this chapter—the first chapter of our new saga—because he’s the most famous. He’s an enemy that can actually threaten the Hulk. It’s very important for me that there is a danger. When Bruce Banner is Hulk, I didn’t feel in Ang Lee’s ‘Hulk’ that there was any threat. He was invincible. So with Abomination there’s actually a monster that can, you know, kill him when he’s in the Hulk form.”

Sam: If I was writing it I would have a very strong opinion about that, but we’re hiring a writer to come up with his own take. Sony was willing to go either way, we’ll just have to wait and see what the writer comes up with. I think anything’s possible, though.
I mean, there’s been so many different versions, it doesn’t have to follow the movies that we’ve made. I’d very much like to see Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, so I have a personal interest in that, but certainly anything’s possible. Spider-Man’s such a big character in the comic books that he could endure a lot of different interpretations. You could start over or you could start with a different aspect of the story than I’ve focused on in the pictures I’ve made, we’ll just have to wait and see what the writer comes up with.

I am looking forward to The Incredible Hulk, I have a lot of faith in Edward Norton and think he can pull it off. However, regarding Spiderman 4 I have mixed feeling. I enjoyed the trilogy overall and think Raimi is a great director. He mixed the action and story well and made a solid trilogy. Yes, Spiderman 3 was a bit dodgy here and there but it was a great movie. The fact that someone else is going to have an input and decide Peter Parker’s fate has its pros and cons. If they are thinking about restarting with new cast, story and director they need to wait a little while. It is not wise to make more films with the same name but different people. If they wait a few years then I think it could be a good idea. I am just happy Sony are open to whatever is best for Spiderman. We shall see.
