Sometimes he’s an ultra-serious, intense, guitar-slinging icon, and other times he’s more of a deadpan awkward comic. But either way, John Mayer is always entertaining.
Last night, the paparazzi caught up to the “Gravity” singer as he was exiting the Dan Tannas Restaurant in Los Angeles, California.
An over-zealous fan approached Mayer, seeking an autograph. Clearly flattered, John signed the pickguard brought to him by the man. But wait… he didn’t sign his own name, but rather “Eric Roberts,” an example of his eccentric, subtle humor.
Recently the “No Such Thing” singer was hanging out at a party thrown by French businessman Nicolas Berggruen. But after 10 minutes, he decided to hit the road. Mayer told press, “People keep coming up to me and touching me and telling me I’m so cute,” he said, making a run for the exit. “I’m over this!”

Paris Hilton displayed a rather nasty looking injury on her chin after falling earlier in the day trying to escape a swarm of paparazzi in Prague.
As previously reported by , the 27-year-old’s presence “led to hysteria amongst photographers clambering to take her picture, with a major fight breaking out amongst rival snappers.”
“And after seeking solace in a local restaurant in Prague’s famous Staromestska Square, Hilton fell trying to escape the paparazzi as she tried to make her exit from the eatery,” reports from the scene tell.
Meanwhile, as she left the Good Charlotte concert at The Congress Centre later that evening, the former Simple Life star endured chaos once again - as bodyguards were forced to get physical, clearing a path for Paris to board the tour bus. So much for a relaxing overseas getaway!

The newly-blonde singer/actress was spotted on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles, California yesterday getting her fill of yet another round of retail therapy.
LiLo patiently combed the racks at the Diavolina boutique, accompanied by a female companion. She looked cute and casual in a white v-neck, black stretch pants, and a pair of black Ray Bans.
And upon her exit, Miss Lohan utilized the ever-popular ‘hand over face’ technique to try and avoid getting her picture taken. Whatever happened to the camera-happy vixen we all knew and loved?
Lost’s Perrineau Finds New Gig
Harold Perrineau is The Unusuals’ suspect.
Hot on the heels of his terminal exit from Lost, the actor has opted to nevertheless stay in the ABC family, signing on to star in a dramedy set in a New York police station.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Perrineau plays Det. Leo Banks in the hourlong pilot, a paranoid, ever-agitated officer who refuses to work a day without his Kevlar vest for fear of, well, going the way of Michael Dawson.
Good thing for Perrineau that the only fate worse than death is unemployment.
