Is Brangelina Nursery News a Lot of Hype?

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie

There’s no doubt the nursery for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s twins will be the envy of every newborn out there.

Brangelina is said to have spent well over six figures to adorn their pending arrivals’ room with a number of pricey items, including Versailles-style cribs ($3,200) with matching changing tables ($2,800) as well as $4,500 armoires.

But who’s doing the blabbing about the babies’ room?

It should be noted that the L.A. boutique claiming the couple made these purchases is Petit Tresor.

Last month, the store’s owner received a cease-and-desist threat from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ attorney for allegedly passing along false information to the media about the couple’s spending habits for the sake of publicity.

Whatever the case may be, we suggest celebs start buying anonymously online. It’s more discreet, and since you’re dropping a bundle on your bundles of joy, it’ll probably come with free shipping!

Jazz Returns in Transformers 2

Jazz Transformers Movie

Autobot Jazz will make a return in Michael Bay’s Transformers 2. TFW2005 has confirmed that the silver/gray customized hardtop Pontiac Solstice GXP vehicle prop arrived on the set of the Transformers sequel early Friday. A second tipster also spotted Darius McCrary, the voice of Jazz from the original film, also on set.

For those who might not remember, Jazz played a large role in the final battle, providing cover to a disabled Bumblebee, despite being outnumbered three to one. Jazz was later viciously torn in half by Megatron on top of tall building. His death was mourned by Prime and the remaining Autobots, but it was never revealed what Optimus did with the remains. In the mobile phone Transformers game, Jazz was brought back by Ratchet using the last piece of the Allspark. McCrary hinted at the film’s Los Angeles premiere that the character might return for a sequel, but Michael Bay later stated on his official website that Jazz will remain dead:

“No Jazz is dead,” Bay wrote. “We have way more cool robots to come.”

Bay later stated admitted that he has and plans to intentionally leak false information about the sequel. With this latest development, I think we just found the first official lie. Or could the prop car and McCrary set appearance of the  be part of Bay’s plan to leak false information to fan websites?

Michael Bay Says Everything You Know About Transformers 2 is FALSE

Michael Bay

You’ve read about the casting breakdowns, constructicon rumors, and supposed treatment leaks, Transformers 2 director Michael Bay claims it was all fake.

“Sorry everyone, everything you are reading (other then we are shooting in Philly) is false,” Bay wrote on his website Shoot For the Edit. “We are going to give so much disinformation on this film to confuse everyone.”

Okay, so let me get this strait… Bay and company orchestrated this complex plan to release false information to the internet movie websites, and when everyone actually chomped down on the bait, he jumps out from around the corner and reveals it was all a scam to keep you out of the know? I’m not saying this information isn’t misinformation, but why set this stuff up if you’re going to publicly deny it minutes later? Isn’t the whole point to keep fans confused? Or maybe Michael Bay’s denial is misinformation? Wait, I’m confused.

Transformers 2 Proceeds Into Pre-Production

Transformers 2

Variety reports that Transformers 2 is far enough along to proceed with pre-production, location scouting and advance special effects work. This must mean that the studio at least has a thorough treatment in the can, if not a first draft. Michael Bay hopes to start shooting in June 2008, but if the strike lasts several months, the production will likely have to delay principal photography.

Meanwhile, Michael Bay is warning Transformers fanboys to not believe what they may read on the internet forums. Bay claims that DreamWorks is prepared to leak misinformation onto the internet to prevent or obscure potential real leaks.

“One thing I do know is I know how to screw them up more,” Bay told Rotten Tomatoes. “We’re going to leak a lot of false information all over the place. I now know their game. They’re going to get a lot of script treatments that they think are going to be the script. They will never see the script. We’ve got scripts and treatments written up that we’re going to leak. No one’s going to know. There’s one out that’s fake right now. There are going to be many others.”

Bay is talking about a 13-page treatment dated October 2nd, which was leaked online last month. Two unrepresented writers claimed responsibility for that document.
