The Crocodile Hunter’s daughter gets her own doll

Bindi IrwinThe late Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin’s daughter will be getting her own doll. Bindi Irwin stars in Bindi the Jungle Girl on the Discovery Channel, a more child-friendly version of her father’s show.

The rubber doll will cost $15 to $20 with a portion going to efforts to breed endangered species and rescue animals. The doll will come with accessories including binoculars, a camera and other outback gear, as well as a cockatoo, wombat and python.

The talking version of the doll will speak catchphrases including “Crikey! Let’s go help wildlife,” and “You can make the world a better place.” The doll is being developed by Wild Republic, a division of K&M International Inc., based in Twinsburg, Ohio who also marketed the Steve Irwin doll shortly after his death.

I am somewhat torn about this news. On one hand, her fame (of which this is a part) seems mildly exploitative due to the tragedy of her father’s passing. On the other hand, a girl has to eat.

French Have Fun With Brangelina

Angelina Jolie

Who said the French don’t have a sense of humor? Well, OK, we have. Repeatedly. But it turns out we were wrong.

A due-any-minute woman staying in the same Nice hospital as Angelina Jolie flashed her belly to paparazzi through a suite window. She no doubt meant it as a joke“Any pregnant belly will do, oui?”

But the joke’s on the media for giving the French woman’s unborn fetus his/her 15 minutes of fame. How drôle. (No word on whether the man next to her is Jerry Lewis.)

Lindsay Lohan: Livin’ It Up with Sam Ronson

Lindsay Lohan: Livin’ It Up with Sam Ronson

Getting a short break from filming her new movie “Labor Pains”, Lindsay Lohan was out gallivanting around the city - shopping and dining out with gal pal Samantha Ronson on Saturday (June 28).

During their journey, Lindsay and Sam were spotted at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills - buying up a few items before exiting the store with huge smiles on their faces.

Meanwhile, on the family front, life as a Lohan is getting more and more complicated by the minute - as Lindsay is waiting to find out if she has a long lost half-sister.

A woman named Kristi Horn recently claimed that she had a daughter by LiLo’s dad, Michael Lohan, 13 years ago.

Addressing the issue at Hollywood’s Ritual Supper Club, Michael said: “Why would someone without taking a test put something out there like this? What if it’s negative? What is that going to do to her own child and my children? Is this for the fame? There was correspondence where she said Ashley, her daughter, wants to be an actress, and she’s so talented.”

Asked if he’s spoken with his children about the matter, papa Lohan tells: “I haven’t spoke to them. I’m not going to do it over the phone.”

Spencer vs. M.K.: Bruising Battle of the Sorta Stars

Spencer Pratt

Nothing we like better than a feud between a couple of our favorite fame wisps. So we’re digging it that Hills hunk (of something) Spencer Pratt is bashing back at Mary-Kate Olsen:

“I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman,” Pratt said in an interview.

You may recall that Mary-Kate told Dave that Spencer had a bad temper in high school and agreed with Letterman that Spencer is “wormy.” (If you missed M.K.’s diss-a-thon, no worries, check out the clip below.)

Trying unsuccessfully to squirm away from the wormy label, Pratt also told Us Weekly that Mary-Kate “should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me.”

Continuing on in his vehemently vermicular way, Spencer feigned taking the high road:

“I forgive her, though. She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.”

Nice! There are lots of ways to be less cute, and Pratt seems to have mastered them all.
