Lindsay Lohan: A Hard Day’s Work
Lindsay Lohan: A Hard Day’s Work
Right about now, Lindsay Lohan is thanking her lucky stars for her latest acting gig, a movie called “Labor Pains.” And the crimson-haired cutie was spotted hard at work on the set yesterday (June 30).
Apparently LiLo’s character has an extremely well-stocked closet, judging from the plethora of different outfits she’s been donning throughout the duration of her shooting schedule.
And yesterday was no different, as paparazzi spotted the “Mean Girls” actress sporting a variety of looks, including a variety of shirt/pants combos.
As previously reported by the , there could be still more family drama for the Lohans, as there’s the possibility that patriarch Michael Lohan fathered an illegitimate daughter back in the ‘90s. This would mean that Lindsay, Ali, and Cody have a half sister.
The Lohan half-sister story is still developing, so stay linked to the for all of the latest news.
A Massive Sopranos Get-Together…on DVD
When you consider the body count The Sopranos racked up over six spread-out seasons, you figure 10 pounds isn’t too much dead weight to store in your living room.
The pioneering HBO seriesevery second of itis headed to DVD later this year in the form of a 30-disc box set (which, incidentally, weighs 10 pounds).
In addition to all the Family drama, HBO Video is offering a host of extra features on two bonus discs, including an interview with Sopranos creator David Chase conducted by Alec Baldwin, 16 deleted scenes, commentary from castmembers (except for James Gandolfini, who didn’t participate) and various making-of features.
To further appease those who already popped for each individual season, three soundtrack CDs compiled by Chase, who handpicked the music that closed out each episode, are also included.
The collector’s edition goes on sale Nov. 11 and will retail for $399.99, which hopefully you’ve got stashed out in the yard somewhere in anticipation of this moment.
Big Love: Find Out What Your Fave Polygamists Are Up to Now

The stars and creators of HBO’s Big Love hit the Los Angeles Times’ Emmy Screening Series at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood last night to talk about the show, and they spilled some good deets about season three.
Click in to find out which wife’s star is rising, which character is going to finally get “payback” and if he were a bug, what kind of bug Bill Henrickson would be…

• According to Bill Paxton, who plays patriarch Bill Henrickson, before he had the script, he had no idea Big Love was going to be a suburban family drama. “I thought it was going to be like Deliverance…”
• The recent stories in the news about fundamentalist Mormons will not go unaddressed on season three. Cocreator Mark V. Olsen said that in real life, the removal of children from polygamist homes has driven some of the “more mainstream” families underground, because they are afraid of losing their kids. According to Olsen, “There will be a heightened fear there, as we enter the third season.” Meanwhile, Chloë Sevingy, who plays ultraconservative sister-wife Nicki Grant, says all the photos and footage of real sister-wives have finally “justified my hairdo.”
• Nicki’s going to ditch the “compound chic” look, at least at the beginning of season three. According to Chloë, Nikki starts dressing in “normal” clothes more often, but she may well restore the long skirt look before too long, for a “very particular story reason,” according to cocreator Will Scheffer. Hmmm…undercover mission to reinfiltrate the compound?
• According to Jeanne Tripplehorn, who plays first wife Barb—the writers jokingly call her “St. Barb”—what you can expect next year is clear: “Season three: More creepiness!” For real though, I think the Henricksons hit the road. Someone asked about a family getaway and if the look on Jeanne was face is any indication, then, Bill, the wives and the kids are totally going on vacay this season.
• The fabulous ladies of Juniper Creek will continue to be present and accounted for this year: Just yesterday compound queen Mary Kay Place was shooting scenes in which Adeline writes her memoirs, and at some point in season three, Bill’s mom Lois (Grace Zabriskie) “gets payback” against horrible husband Frank (Bruce Dern). You go, girls.
• According to the cast, Margie’s star is rising this season as she enters into the world outside the family via her work for Weber Gaming. According to Ginnifer Goodwin, Margie is “going through puberty in a way,” and Jeanne thinks that when it comes to Margie and the Weber storyline, “Margie is sowing her oat—singular.”
• The Hollis clan is based on an actual homicidal Mormon cult of the ’70s; several of the sister-wives are still at large and wanted by the FBI. Also, according to Mark Olsen, they will tell the story of Hollis Green’s freaky-deaky and seemingly transgender wife: “We’ll find out who she is.”
Season three of Big Love premieres Jan. 11, 2009 (or so sayeth Will Scheffer, who really oughta know). See you then!
Pick a title for Alec Baldwin’s new show - VIDEO
It seems that Alec Baldwin isn’t content with starring on NBC’s 30 Rock (and possibly running for office). He also wants to get into producing TV shows. Over at the Hollywood offices of The Hollywood Reporter (gah, new logo!), Baldwin pitches his new show, which he describes as both a family drama and a show where the entire cast has sex in a space capsule over and over again. He says it’s a combination of Falcon Crest, Star Trek, and Girls Gone Wild.
In the video after the jump, someone off camera suggests the title Last Tango on Saturn, while Baldwin suggests Interplanetary Pie, though I don’t think the networks would go for that. Maybe this is a plot they should squeeze into 30 Rock. Hey, they already had M.I.L.F. Island, right?
What’s your title suggestion? How about Melrose Planet? Gossip Aliens? Sex and the Galaxy? Let us know in the comments below.
