Following a hectic day in which she welcomed a niece into the world, Britney Spears was spotted out at a convenience store near her home in Kentwood, Louisiana on Thursday (June 19).
Earlier in the day, the Gimme More singer visited her sister at the Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi, where Jamie-Lynn gave birth to a baby girl named Maddie Briann.
On the topic of Jamie-Lynn’s pregnancy, relatives and friends have been ready and willing to talk with press on the matter.
“We’re so excited for her,” a family friend enthusiastically told People magazine “She’ll be a great mom. She’ll be awesome.”
Meanwhile, a cousin of babydaddy Casey Aldridge tells: “It seemed like this day would never come,. They’ve been getting ready, but everything was pretty much done by last month. So they just had to wait.”
Offering words of caution, Charlie Spears adds: “It’s easy to have them, but hard to raise them. I hope she’s healthy, and I hope they raise a good baby.”

As previously reported by , Britney and family arrived in their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana yesterday afternoon - meeting up with mother Lynne and Jamie Lynn - as the Spears gang prepares for the baby’s arrival.
“They have had nine months to deal with this,” a Spears family friend told press. “Last night was very low-key. There was no last-minute panicking. No one was worried.”

As she was attempting to leave the Tracey Ross boutique at Sunset Plaza, the “Piece of Me” singer was so overwhelmed with the presence of photographers, she actually had to request a police escort in order to safely leave.
Wearing a short-sleeved v-neck, jeans, and her usual brown leather boots, Miss Spears relied on a rather large helper to make her way to the waiting white Cadillac Escalade SUV.
And with the news of her reunion with Larry Rudolph, the manager who helped her rise to fame, Britney had better get used to all the attention. A family friend told press, “Britney wants to get back to work. People close to Britney know that Larry is the best person for her. He’s the man who can get her back on the right track career-wise.”
