Baking a Cake with Jennifer Garner
Baking a Cake with Jennifer Garner
Some women get their husbands ties for Father’s Day, while others opt for golf balls. But Jennifer Garner was all about making her man something special yesterday.
The “Juno” babe was spotted on her way to the market to pick up some cake making supplies, presumably to bake hubby Ben Affleck a Father’s Day cake.
And she looked summery in her all-white ensemble, including a tank top underneath a button-up shirt with a pair of trousers and matching sandals.
Last week, Garner had a minor scare when she accidentally locked two-year-old daughter Violet inside her Lexus SUV. But the panic didn’t last long, as Jennifer successfully instructed the little one on how to push the ‘unlock’ button
Natalie Cole’s "Unforgettable" Follow-Up
Natalie Cole is doing her best to make sure her dad’s velvety voice lives on.
The soulful songstress has announced plans for Still Unforgettable, a follow-up to her Grammy-winning 1991 cover album Unforgettable: With Love, which featured the singer’s infamous digital duet with her father Nat King Cole on the crooner’s classic 1951 ballad “Unforgettable.”
It’s technology that has allowed the pair to share the spotlight, considering Cole’s pop died in 1965, when she was only 15.
Still Unforgettable, due out Sept. 9, will feature a host of pop standards and another father-daughter duet, this time on “Walkin’ My Baby Back Home,” which Nat recorded in 1952.
“You never get over missing your dad as the years go by, particularly around Father’s Day,” Cole said in a statement, and it’s the fans who sent her back to his catalogue “looking for more treasuresand I was not disappointed.”

Dennis Quaid Kickin’ It With the Kids in Maui
Father’s Day will certainly have special meaning for Dennis Quaid this weekend. After all, it was just seven short months ago that the actor’s newborn twins were facing the fight of their lives.
Now fully recovered, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace (not pictured) are with their daddy this week in Hawaii, where he’s being honored at the Maui Film Festival.
But the G.I. Joe star isn’t the only celebrity pop who will be doting over his darling little ones come Sunday. Choose your favorite Tinseltown father in our Hollywood’s Hottest Dad poll.
Dads secretly love Dancing with the Stars, apparently
Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 15, and in celebration TiVo conducted a poll to find out which TV shows that dads say they hate but they secretly love. This is like looking into the secret diaries (you know, the ones with those flimsy little locks on them?) of dads around the country, but here are the results:
1. Dancing with the Stars
2. Grey’s Anatomy
3. Desperate Housewives
4. Access Hollywood
5. TMZ
I think this poll has revealed one thing: most dads in the United States are…women?
OK, I kid, but I’m a little surprised that shows like Dancing with the Stars and Access Hollywood/TMZ are in the mix for shows that dads love. I thought a guilty pleasure might be wrestling or cartoons (which actually was number one when asked which genre of television show they secretly loved), but Grey’s Anatomy?
By the way, America’s Top Model was in sixth place.
