SAG Awards Are Comin'! Place Your Bets

The SAG Awards hit this Sunday, and I'll be there live on the red carpet reporting on all the glam and gossip. But for now, it's time for a few predictions. You can check out mine above by clicking the video play button. However…truth be told, you guys are always far more adept at picking the winners, so I'm also dying to find out your picks for the top TV ensembles and actors. Vote in the poll below, and then holla in the Comments section if any of your favorites were neglected this time around.

You should also check out E! Online's all-encompassing red carpet blog, and tune in to our big shiny red channel this Sunday, starting with Countdown to the Red Carpet at 5 p.m. and Live from the Red Carpet at 6 p.m. See you there!

Best Summer Ever? Take Our TV Poll, and Tell Us What You Loved Most

Dule Hill, Kyra Sedgwick, Denis Leary, Jeffrey Donovan, Kim Delany, John Leguizamo

In honor of Labor Day, the traditional end of summer, and as a salute to what was easily the best summer-TV season in the history of the boob tube (at least that we can remember), we thought we'd turn to you, tubers, and get your take.

What impressed you most during this summer of swirling dancers, singing bees, burned spies, (m)ad men, O.C. drama queens, frat boys and starter wives? Vote for your favorites below, and then post a testimonial in the Comments section about which summer series you thought was hotter than all the rest…

How to vote for your Idol like a pre-pubescent girl

Carly SmithsonTired of your fingers bleeding and still only getting 219 calls in for your favorite contestant each Tuesday night? Do you go to bed with hand spasms, because let’s face it your fingers aren’t as young as they used to be? Well, now you can still vote for your favorites like a teenager with more free time than you have left in the rest of your life without all the hassle and stress (do I sound like an infomercial yet?).

Gizmo5 is a software package that can be installed on your computer (XP, Vista and Mac!) as well as your mobile phone. A new contact is created named “Idol Voting.” Simply select this contact and select 1 to cast 25 consecutive votes for your favorite Idol contestant automagically (I know what I said; it’s magical to me!). I know it works because I tested it last week voting for Brooke and Jason and … oh! … um … sorry about that, Carly fans. Well, you can still save your favorites this week. And your fingers, too.

PS: If someone at Gizmo5 is reading this, Carly was cut last week so you can remove her from your site. Cool?

A crapload of classic TV intros

Magnum P.I. is just one of the classic TV intros you’ll find at Net Notables.Do you have a few minutes? How about 310 of them? You’ll need that many to watch all 310 (as of this writing) classic, and not so classic, TV show intros listed over at Net Notables.

Originally, the list only contained 101 intros from shows that aired from 1989 and below. But, as commenters continued to ask where their favorite intro was, more and more links were added. Most of them link to videos on YouTube, which means the five hours and 10 minutes you need to view all of the listed items increases exponentially. To give you an example, after you watch the Magnum P.I.introduction that everyone remembers you can also view the first, more jazzy version of the theme.

My favorites? When it comes to theme music I say Magnum, Transformers, Simon & Simon and Jonny Quest (although the theme from The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest is much more powerful.); however, there are just so many to choose from. When it comes to intros I remember in fondness I would have to say Hello, Larry and New Zoo Revue. I’m sure you’ll have your favorites from this huge list.
