James McAvoy Will Kiss Angelina, Not Bill Clinton
James McAvoy sounds like he has a better job than most, considering part of it involves kissing Angelina Jolie onscreen.
But it’s not all fun and games, the Wanted star tells the TimesOnline.
“It’s the only physical contact we have in the entire film other than when she beats me upwhich she does a lot,” he says of locking lips with Angelina. “Just another day, and the same old shit as usual. ’Oh God, I hope she doesn’t think I’m getting off on this and I hope she doesn’t think I’m trying to…whatever.’ And she’s doing the same. So it’s always weird. Always strange, never nice.”
Gotcha. Still, most people would probably say the gig doesn’t sound too bad. But to be honest, McAvoy sounds down-to-earth, not jaded. He drives an old car, has a small apartment and doesn’t want to sell out.
And, well, he has gas.
He also doesn’t expect to become tabloid fodder like his costar and her man, Brad Pitt.
“They’re two of the most beautiful people in the world. That’s a big thing; it’s not just about being well-known for the films you make. I was told stories by her bodyguard of people running across freeways to take a picture of her!” he tells the paper.
“And that’s never gonna happen with me. Unless I’m kissing Bill Clinton at the time. Which I don’t think I’m gonna do. I hope.”
Edward Norton Likes Lord Of The Rings

Edward Norton has said that if it were not for The Lord of the Rings trilogy he may not have taken on the role of Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
He says, “I remember when I heard they were making The Lord Of The Rings, I was like, ‘God, if they cheese those out, I’m going to be so disappointed.’
“(But) those films were inspiring to me in terms of deciding to take The Incredible Hulk.”
Norton was known for taking on ‘good movies’ such as American History X and Fight Club, so a comic book adaptation was a bit of a risk for him, and we will soon see if it paid off.
In other Hulk news, director Louis Leterrier spoke to MTV about the possibility of the Hulk being the villain in The Avengers. Click here to read what he had to say!
Tony Stark Appears in New Incredible Hulk TV Spot
A new TV spot for The Incredible Hulk features Tony Stark/Robert Downey Jr. Yes, we all knew that he was set to appear in the film, but it’s somewhat surprising to see Stark placed front and center here before we even gleam the movie’s logo, the Hulk or star Edward Norton. With Iron Man approaching $300 million domestically, it’s obvious why Universal and Marvel would emphasize the seamlessness, novelty and quality assurance represented by his cameo/connection.
This is a new approach to marketing and might very well be a way to work with, neutralize or counteract spoilers. Expect to see more interwoven ads in the future as Marvel’s stack of in-house projects take off; and also expect more editorials by the pound from Entertainment Weekly bemoaning superhero films as even the mainstream marketing geeks out and borders esoteric. But for now: “Look dude, Iron Man’s on TV. What’s going on !?!?! Does Stark fight the Hulk? How is it 5 o’clock already?”

Eastwood and Spike Go to War!
Clint Eastwood and Spike Lee are bickering, and we’d suggest the directors take the high road but they might just use it to get a better shot at each other.
To catch up: At the Cannes film festival last month, Lee said if reporters “had any balls” they’d ask Eastwood why he didn’t include any African Americans in his films based on the battle of Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. Aside from suggestion that Cannes reporters are eunuchs, Lee was also promoting his own war film, Miracle at St. Anna.
Eastwood responded that he was being historically accurate about the make up of the soldiers who raised the flag on the island, and added that “A guy like him should shut his face.” Sounding stung by Lee’s criticism, Eastwood, whose next film The Human Factor is about South African rugby and Nelson Mandela, also added, “Yeah, I’m not going to make Nelson Mandela a white guy.”
Lee’s latest salvo was a mixture of sugar, saying Eastwood is “a great director,” and spice, saying Eastwood sounds like “an angry old man.” Despite adding that “we’re not on a plantation,” Lee announced he was going to end the feud with “peace and love.”
Cool. So, does this mean he’s going to apologize to the Cannes reporters, too? They’re a pretty sensitive bunch.
In any case, what do you think? Is Spike right? Or Clint? Or should they both get back to making movies and stop insulting each other?
