Heroes star Hayden Panettiere spent Friday out on the town with her mother Lesley.
The two chic young ladies gallivanted about Santa Monica - hitting some of the shops and grabbing a bite to eat.
After finishing up, the two headed back to their West Hollywood pad. A source on the scene told: “Hayden tried to balance her purse, keys and two cell phones while trying to block her face from photographers as she walked into her building.”
In other news on the 18-year-old actress, Hayden recently spoke to Variety and offered up a few details about herself, which reads:
Recent breakthrough: “I got semi-noticed for ‘Remember the Titans,’” she says, but “Heroes” made her famous.
Role model: ” Natalie Portman, because of how humble she is. … She’s done an amazing job of keeping her personal life and career separate.”
What’s next: “I did a film called ‘Fireflies in the Garden’ with Julia Roberts, Willem Dafoe and Emily Watson. It’s a small role, but to be around those people was well worth it.”

It was a busy day overseas for Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, as the 18-year-old is currently situated in Berlin to promote her new movie, Fireflies In The Garden.
Wearing a glittery gold dress, Hayden first attended a photo call at the Grand Hyatt Hotel as part of the 2008 Berlinale Film Festival to talk about her latest work - which is a “semi-autobiographical story centering on the complexities of love and commitment in a family torn apart when faced by an unexpected tragedy.”
Shortly afterwards, Hayden, along with co-stars Ryan Ryan Reynolds and Willem Dafoe, fielded questions and posed for some more pictures at a press conference.
From there, Hayden and Ryan found time to squeeze in a bite to eat at Lutter & Wegner restaurant at Potsdamer Platz square before heading off to their movie’s Berlin Film Festival premiere. Talk about a lot to do!

This past weekend was a busy one in the entertainment industry. Over in Germany, Hayden Panettiere was hamming it up on the red carpet at the 58th Annual Berlin International Film Festival.
Hayden looked as cute as a button in a very form fitting black evening gown as she smiled for the paparazzi and made nice with a bevy of other celebrities.
The Heroes hottie was in the house for the premiere of her new film “Fireflies in the Garden” in which she stars alongside the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Julia Roberts, and Willem Dafoe.
Reynolds, in a dark suit, as well as Hollywood royalty Goldie Hawn, in a see-through frock, were both in the house last night, giving the clamoring shutterbugs plenty of opportunities to get a good shot.

Fresh off of the premiere of her new movie at the Berlinale Film Festival, an extremely tired looking Hayden Panettiere was spotted arriving back to the States at LAX airport on Wednesday (February 13).
The Heroes hottie stretched out her arms and gave a big yawn at luggage pick-up before being escorted out to her awaiting ride.
