2008 Grammy Nominees Announced
It would appear that personal turmoil equals Grammy nods this year. At least that’s the case for Kanye West and Amy Winehouse. Between his mother dying and her husband being thrown in the slammer, these two were pretty desperate for some good news.
Between the two of them, the “Jesus Walks” rapper and the “Rehab” singer have a total of fourteen nominations (8 for him, 6 for her). And they’re not the only ones with multiple chances to take home an award.
On the next tier down, there were four artists with 5 nominations each: Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, and Foo Fighters. And Akon, Dierks Bentley, Feist, Chris Daughtry, Tim McGraw, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Bruce Springsteen, and John Newton all have four chances.

Bilson and Bell Do Spike TV’s Video Game Awards
Bilson and Bell Do Spike TV’s Video Game Awards
Usually when you think about video games you think about teenage guys sitting around pounding Mountain Dew and going blind from staring at the TV. But Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell destroyed that stereotype.
The two TV hotties were spotted at the 5th Annual Spike TV Video Game Awards at the Mandalay Bay Events Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Kristen Bell provided enough eye candy to distract the gamers from their games. She wore a champagne colored strapless sparkly dress with a pair of strappy heels.
And Rachel Bilson was the icing on the cake for the video game lovers. She wore a silver shimmery sleeveless top with black pants and a killer smile.
As for the musical side of things, Foo Fighters and Kid Rock both took the stage to entertain the Spike TV guests.

Foo Fighters - Let It Die Lyrics
Heart of gold but it lost its pride
Beautiful veins and bloodshot eyes
I’ve seen your face in another light
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
In too deep and out of time.
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
A simple man and his blushing bride
Intravenous, intertwined
Hearts gone cold your hands were tied
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
In too deep and out of time.
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Do you ever think of me?
You’re so considerate.
Do you ever think of me?
Oh, so considerate.
In too deep and lost in time
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Beautiful veins and bloodshot eyes
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Hearts gone cold and hands were tied.
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Do you ever think of me?
You’re so considerate.
Did you ever think of me?
Oh, so considerate.
In too deep and lost in time
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Beautiful veins and bloodshot eyes
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Hearts gone cold and hands were tied.
Why’d you have to go and let it die?
Why’d you have to go and let this die?
Why’d you have to go and let this die?
Why’d you have to go and let this die?
Why’d you have to go and let this die?
Why’d you have to go and let it die?

Britney Spears’ MTV Performance Is Almost Here
Britney Spears’ MTV Performance Is Almost Here
It seems like it was forever ago when we first learned that Britney Spears was planning a comeback. But the fabled MTV Video Music Awards performance is already upon us.
The troubled singer is poised to pull herself out of musical obscurity with a killer performance at the 2007 VMAs scheduled for this Sunday night. She will perform her new song “Gimme More” with the help of Mindfreak Criss Angel.
Joining Britney as performers on the show are Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, Foo Fighters, Rihanna, Common, Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes, Akon and Soulja Boy, T-Pain, Cee-Lo, Daniel Merriweather, Lil’ Wayne, Alicia Keys, T.I., Adam Levine, Mastadon, and Serj from System of A Down.
And after the show is all over, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are scheduled to host a Fantasy Suite party, complete with DJ Mark Ronson and his horn section providing the tunes. All in all, this Sunday could be a big day for a lot of people. Let’s hope Britney brings her A-game.
