Tricia Helfer is Inseperable from our televisions

Tricia HelferRemember when FOX signed that holding deal for Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer? Well, now they’re using it. The former model, best known as every fanboy’s synthetic fantasy via her portrayal of sympathetic Cylon “Number 6″ on Sci Fi’s reimagined Battlestar Galactica, Tricia Helfer has been cast in FOX’s Inseperable. As it turns out she won’t be playing a hot figment of anyone’s imagination, though that would be a good use for the title.

Instead, she’s been cast as a psychiatrist who works for the police department. How that will relate to Lloyd Owen’s split personality hero/villain lead hasn’t been made clear, but I’m guessing she’ll be his psychiatrist. Would she find it weird that all of her male patients would only want to talk about their sexual fantasies with her?

“Here let me show you what I’m talking about, doctor. Why don’t you get down on your knees and face me … What do you mean that wouldn’t be professional? I want to know what these yearnings mean. And can you undo that top button.”

Helfer has shown surprising acting range on BSG, so I expect she could really add some depth to the role. If Owen plays his role anything like James Nesbitt played a similar one in BBC One’s brilliant Jekyll, then she’d definitely have her hands full. In fact, that whole show was put together in such a sinister manner, they should definitely be taking a look at it for a model of how to up the tension with a Jekyll-Hyde show. Inseperable is currently slated as a mid-season show for FOX, which means that it should be canceled by late February.

The star of NBC’s new Knight Rider, Justin Bruening, is speeding into town.

Kimora Lee Simmons’ Bitchin’ Advice for Women

Kimora Lee Simmons, Giant Magazine

Kimora Lee Simmons doesn’t mind if you think she’s a bitch.

“As a woman, if you’re outspoken and you know what you want, you’re a bitch,” the Style Network reality-show star says in the new issue of Giant magazine. “And if you don’t know what you want, then you’re a ditz. It’s very hard to gain men’s respect, and men in the industry disrespected me all the time.”

But Simmons is the one laughing all the way to the bank. The 33-year-old former model and mother of two is creative officer of Phat Fashions, the company started by her ex, Russell Simmons, which now includes Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Phat Farm Kids and the new juniors’ label Fabulosity.

“Many [women] don’t know if they should speak up and run the risk of looking stupid or bitchy,” Simmons says. “I always say, ‘Go for bitchy’ ’cause they’re gonna say you’re a bitch no matter what.’ If you’re smart and you speak up, you’re a bitch. But at least you get what you want.”

Simmons, however, is a bit more reserved when it comes to dishing about her Oscar-nominated actor and Calvin Klein underwear-model boyfriend Djimon Hounsou. Although mum on details, she does say, “I’m just happy and grateful to go home to my kids and a man that loves and accepts me for meglamorous or not.”

Kiefer’s Marriage Finally Kaput

Kiefer Sutherland, 24

Kiefer Sutherland is officially divorced. Which surely comes as news to all but the handful of die-hard fans who even knew he was technically still married.

Nearly four years after the 24 star first filed for divorce from Elizabeth Kelly Winn Sutherland, and roughly nine years after the long-estranged duo first separated, the uncontested divorce was finally granted.

According to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the divorce was granted on May 16, with the Sutherlands' status subsequently restored to that of swinging singles. Which, really, is just another technicality, as the star has hardly been without arm candy for the better part of the past decade. (View the documents.)

Sutherland, 41, and Winn, a 46-year-old former model, had no children together and were married for eight years at the time of the divorce filing back in May 2004. At the time, Sutherland cited the ever-popular irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

It's the second, very long time coming divorce for Sutherland, who was previously briefly married to actress Camelia Kath.
