Lionsgate buys movie rights to Unpublished Video Game

Usually the bad video game movie adaptations happen after the video game becomes a popular franchise/brand. Well Lionsgate has decided to bypass that necessary step and go strait to the bad movie.
Lionsgate has bought the big screen rights to the Eidos Interactive video game Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, which hasn’t even been released yet. The game, which is due to hit the PC and X-Box 360 later this year, is described as “a co-op action game depicting a violent and chaotic journey of two men - a flawed mercenary and a medicated psychopath and their brutal attitude towards right and wrong. Now, they must partner up as a mess of cash makes for hell on Earth.” They duo first meet while “being transported to death row, only to be attacked and kidnapped by Kane’s former team. The unlikely duo is forced to retrieve a stolen fortune that Kane has hidden,” according to Variety.
You can watch a preview of the game at this link. You can also check out the official game website at kaneandlynch.com.
The game’s linear storyline shows promise as a movie adaptation, but call me a cynic - these things just never work out. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

Cameron Diaz Shows Malibu Her Trimsuit
These days, Cameron Diaz is carefree and content with her fabulous life. While it wasn’t too long ago that she was mourning the end of her relationship with Justin Timberlake, she’s clearly put the past in the past, and is happily moving on.
She was seen swimming at the beach in Malibu this past weekend. Spectators were treated to a stunning scene as the “Sweetest Thing” star frolicked around the water in a skimpy bikini.
With all the fun that Cam’s having in her personal life, no wonder she is feeling so playful. A British hunk named David de Rothschild writes the latest chapter in Diaz’s love life.
Rothschild is an environmentalist and the heir to a huge banking fortune. The two have been seen out and about as of late, taking in shows and dinners while cuddling up with each other.
And while David is a few years younger than Cameron (as was Justin Timberlake), his adventurous nature is a sure fit for Cameron’s personality.

It didn’t take long for Cameron Diaz to lose her Angel. As soon as subpoenas and press coverage started surrounding her relationship with Criss, she moved on… this time with a wealthy British environmentalist.
Cam is said to be dating David de Rothschild, the heir to a banking fortune. The pair was first spotted at the epic Live Earth concert this past Saturday in New Jersey.
According to witnesses, they hung out in the VIP section of the event, and seemed pretty friendly. A few days later they were spotted at New York City’s Stanton Social Restaurant, and the attraction was evident.
A source told press, “They flirted and touched throughout their meal. They were really into each other.”
David was named runner-up to Prince William in Tatler magazine’s hottest British Bachelors in 2003. He is 28.

One of the many benefits of celebrity is getting VIP treatment wherever you go. But for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, it seemed that their star power wasn’t enough to gain entry into a St. Tropez night club.
When Tom and Katie arrived at Caves Du Roi on the French island of St. Tropez, they expected to get the royal treatment. And why not? They’re two of the highest profiled celebrities in the world.
But the club was apparently too full to accommodate the pair. The bouncers wouldn’t grant them access, even after Tom’s security revealed his identity.
A witness told press, “The VIP area was full and the management weren’t willing to move the guests already there to make room for Tom. It wouldn’t have been fair - they’d spent a fortune.”
A club spokesperson said, “It would have been dangerous to allow any more people in - whoever they were.” However, when P Diddy showed up with members of the Dubai Royal Family, they were able to get in without a hitch. Hmmmm.
