Could Criminal Minds be the next CSI?
After the success of the CSI franchise, it’s only natural that CBS would look at other shows on its lineup for spinoff possibilities. Oddly enough, the lucky show isn’t World’s Greatest Dog, but Criminal Minds. According to Executive Producer Ed Bernero, talks between CBS and ABC studios, who produces Minds, are currently underway, saying, “It’s safe to say there will be something soon.”
Because the Criminal Minds spinoff is still in the discussion phase, there’s no news on exactly what the new show will entail. But, since there are obviously many more specialties within the FBI besides criminal profiling, chances are the new series will focus on one of those. As is the case with most spinoffs nowadays, the new series will probably be introduced via a “backdoor pilot” in an upcoming Criminal Minds episode.
As for whether or not any current castmembers will be spun off, Bernero basically shoots down the idea while technically leaving the door open. He says that while he doesn’t think that will happen, “it’s possible characters could be on both shows… All options are open.”
So there you have it. CBS may or may not be doing a Criminal Minds spinoff, which may or may not deal with a different FBI specialty, which may or may not include current cast members. Do those of you who watch Criminal Minds think a spinoff is a good idea? Do we really have another CSI on our hands, or is the Criminal Minds franchise destined for the trash heap?
Zac Efron: Man in Black
Zac Efron: Man in Black
While his costar/girlfriend was busy out on the East Coast promoting her new album in New York City, Zac Efron was busy looking sexy back in Los Angeles, California.
Sporting a black t-shirt, dark skinny jeans, and a pair of vintage-looking brown leather lace-up shoes, the 20-year-old actor made his way around Beverly Hills.
And Efron was a good sport with the paparazzi, waving to them amicably as he passed by with a toothpick in his mouth.
Besides the third installment of his High School Musical franchise, Zac also has a couple other projects in the pipeline, including “Me and Orson Welles,” and “Seventeen Again.”
Christian Bale Rules Out Robin For Batman 3 (and beyond)

Several weeks ago, rumors circled offline once again that Robin would appear in the sequel to The Dark Knight. It reminded me of the “rumor waves” last year when everyone in the industry suddenly discovered The Long Halloween storyline and held it up as the script to Christopher Nolan’s second Batman sequel. According to StarPulse, Christian Bale not only considers Robin lame, he has threatened to remake The Machinist as a documentary if the character crosses his path…
“If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I’ll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work.”
Some fans will be blinded by a premature warm happiness after reading, “one of the new Batman films,” but Nolan has insisted this a trilogy. No matter, we are of the agreement that not only should Robin be dismissed, the word “robin” in general should be banned from this franchise. It’s not dark enough, nor does it embolden comparisons to The Godfather 2, Heat, and an “extraordinary cinematic revolution” spelled out by 400,000 lit firecrackers. Actually, that last one is worthy of Robin. We josh.

Saw V Promo Trailer
Below we have a promo trailer for Saw V which will be out in October. For those not fluent in Roman Numerals that’s ‘5′. This is the fifth movie in the franchise and the cow is milked so much it is starting to look like Nicole Ritchie.
Almost everyone brought in to try and solve the Jigsaw mystery has died or been injured. With John’s dead body in the hospital, Officer Rigg badly injured and still in the warehouse, Agent Perez recovering in the hospital, and Agent Straum nowhere to be found, that leaves one. On hearing the news that Jigsaw’s games will continue after his death, Detective Hoffman has disappeared, and a whole new game is about to start.
Update: Its fan made, but I’ll keep it up anyway.
