Mary-Kate: Spencer Pratt Is So High School
While the “real” in reality has always been questionable when it comes to The Hills, it seems Spencer Pratt truly is that guy everybody loves to hateat least according to Mary-Kate Olsen.
During her appearance Thursday night on the Late Show with David Letterman, M.K. reveals she actually knew Speidi’s lesser half back in the day.
“He used to play on the soccer team for my high school, and he does not have a good temper,” said the Wackness actress. “He walked out of a few games. He would walk off the field.”
Now, if we could just get him to walk out of our lives.
Dominoes Parties With Penelope Cruz
Dominoes Parties With Penelope Cruz
If you wanna get really wild and crazy, head on over to Penelope Cruz’s pad. They’re playing a mean game of “Dominoes.”
You may even see the likes of Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Daya Fernandez, and Salma Hayek, as they all reportedly stop by for a round of the rousing game.
But don’t plan on winning. According to Ashton, Penelope brings her A-game every time.
“I’ve never been called such foul things as when I’ve played those games with Penelope,” he told press. “Outside the game, she’s the sweetest, kindest friend you could have, but inside it, she’s a vicious warrior.
HD DVD is officially dead
Do you hear that? That’s the sound of “Taps” being played for HDTV players and recorders. Toshiba has announced that, “it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders.” Yes, it’s true. Just like Beta was phased out in favor of VHS, HDTV has lost in its head to head battle with Blu-ray. As of March 2008, the manufacture of the hardware will cease, and production of HD DVD disk drives for PCs and games as well. The only exception, said Atsutoshi Nishida, President and CEO of Toshiba Corporation are laptops. “[Toshiba] continues to assess the position of notebook PCs with integrated HD DVD drives.”
Where does that leave those lucky consumers who’ve invested in HD DVD and its recorders? Up a tree, in many ways. Toshiba spokesmen say the company will continue to sell recording media on line, but don’t expect a slew of HD DVD software in the future. Blu-ray will be king, you can bet on that. For those of us who haven’t gone HD, Toshiba reiterates in their corporate release that they will continue to market conventional DVD players and recorders.
SAW 5 in 2008

A couple months ago it was revealed that SAW series production designer David Hackl had been hired to direct not one but two SAW sequels, possibly even back-to-back. Rumor had it that Lionsgate wanted to, for the first time in four years, take a year off from the SAW series. But I’m happy to report that is not true.
“If it’s Halloween, it must be Saw!”
Lionsgate is eyeing October 24th 2008 for the release of SAW V. SAW VI has also been marked on the calendar for October 30th, 2009. Let the games begin (again)!
