Back in the 1990’s, Claire Danes was the poster child for social outcasts on her show “My So-Called Life.” And after her appearance at yesterday’s Motion Picture Club Awards, she may be the face of the fashionably challenged.
The “Romeo and Juliet” actress was seen wearing an outfit that would quite possibly make a homeless woman turn her head and offer Danes a garment of her own.
It was a mix between French maid-gone-wrong, and a peasant from Oliver Twist. Danes’ grey dress had some sort of tie-dye “effect” around the collar, as well as at the bottom of the outfit.
It may have something to do with the fact that she’s been starring in Pygmalion as a Cockney flower girl masquerading as a high society, tea-drinking lady of propriety. But there’s such thing as taking method acting too far.

There have been almost as many teenage romance movies as there are sands on the beach. But Hilary Duff intends to make “Greta” one to remember.
Duff plays the title role in a move about a white girl waitress who falls in love with a black chef that works in her restaurant. And as the summer romance heats up, Greta’s grandparents start throwing up some red flags.
Apparently, her boyfriend has quite a criminal past, and Grandma and Grandpa aren’t too thrilled about it. The grandparents are played by Ellen Burstyn and Michael Murphy, and Diana Ross’ son Evan Ross plays the cook.
And from the looks of it, Hilary is every bit the Jersey Shore waitress. She was seen shooting scenes for “Greta” yesterday looking very authentic, with a shirt/dress garment accented with stalking and high-tops.

She’s one of the most respected actresses in the industry, and Cate Blanchett definitely knows how to dress for the occasion.
She’s been in Madrid, Spain promoting her new film “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” and from the looks of it she’s packed a suitcase full of diversity.
At a photocall yesterday, Cate was looking very Halloween-y in a silky orange blouse with black accents, coupled with a belted black pencil skirt. Blanchett went with the playful side-parted hairdo, and subtle makeup.
Later at the film’s premiere, the Aussie actress donned a pewter-colored column dress, complete with a sparkly shoulder accent piece, and curly locks to match the texture of her garment.

Everybody loves a little lingerie. And big name Hollywood A-Listers were on hand to check out Frederick’s of Hollywood’s 2008 Spring Collection.
The Hollywood Paladium played host to the event last night. And there was a plethora of stars itching for an advanced peek at the new styles.
Jessica Simpson showed up looking fine as ever, in a black dress with sequin accents. She even got playful with comedienne Cheri Oteri, dressed in a silver and black getup.
And Kristen Bell turned heads in a purple lingerie-esque garment, with a see-through layer over a shimmery top, completed with leopard print pumps.
Zanessa were in the house, looking playful as ever. Let’s just hope Hudgens doesn’t misplace any pics she takes of herself in the new Frederick’s garb.
