For some women, getting older is a depressing certainty. And for Demi Moore, it has caused enough strife that she’s spent a small fortune fighting it.
The Charlie’s Angels actress forked out an estimated $450,000 over the past few years for plastic surgery. And that’s not even the worst part.
Apparently, it hasn’t helped her get very many film roles. Mrs. Ashton Kutcher says that there is a real sense of ageism in Hollywood.
Demi told press, “It’s been a challenging few years, being the age I am. Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don’t know what to do with me. I am not 20. Not 30. There aren’t that many good roles for women over 40. A lot of them don’t have much substance, other than being someone’s mother or wife.”
The GI Jane actress went through a battery of procedures, including breast implants, collagen injections and liposuction on her hips, thighs and stomach. She also had a procedure to lift the sagging skin on her knees. But she still isn’t getting the roles that she wants.

My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly is celebrating Mother’s Day in style this year. She is the proud mother of a healthy and happy baby boy.
Pressly, 29, who plays the crass Joy on the hit series, and her fiancé Eric Cubiche, 33, became parents Friday morning at 7:31 a.m. in Los Angeles. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces. It’s the couple’s first child.
While she is geeked about her new son, Pressly wasn’t so pumped about her body as a pregnant woman. “I looked in the mirror last night and said, ‘Good God!’ My (butt) is so wide. It’s spread,” Jaime told USA Today in March. “Once I have the baby, I have to get back in the gym and go all GI Jane.”
Momma Pressly confessed that she was a bit troubled by “things you cannot imagine happening to your body.” For instance, cellulite. “Never had it in my entire life. But you get it on your butt and thighs. On the front of your thighs! Above your knees! It’s fat pockets that you accumulate.” Plus, there are “the veins in your boobs, the dark spots on your face. It’s incredible.”
The baby boom of Hollywood is still surging forward with the ferocity of a wolverine. Happy Mother’s day to Miss Pressly and all mothers this weekend.
