A Lively Blake Clears Up the Gossip
Blake Lively is not a socialite. She just plays one on TV.
“I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hiltonsince I have a dog and blond hair, that must mean we’re alike,” the Gossip Girl star tells Seventeen. “It’s a dumb thing to say. I don’t think that makes Paris and me similar…I don’t go to clubs, I don’t party, I don’t dance on tables, and I don’t like sex tapes.”
All of which explains why the magazine probably asked the grounded 20-year-old actress to appear on not one, not two, but three different covers for its August issue…
Vanity Fair Rides the Wave
The folks over at Vanity Fair have compiled, yet again, a list of the young stars predicted to rule the entertainment universe in the next few years. No pressure, of course.
Among those caught in the glare of the (hopefully not temporary) spotlight this time around are the following lovely ladies who appear on the cover of the August issue:
Gossip Girl star Blake Lively; Amanda Seyfried and Kristen Stewart, who appear in the upcoming films Mamma Mia! and What Just Happened?, respectively; and Emma Roberts, who toplined the recent Nancy Drew flick but is probably best known for having a certain aunt named Julia.
While the fresh-faced foursome are deserving, we couldn’t help but wonder who you would have liked to have seen on the cover. Let us know!

While Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick was partying it up for his birthday down the street at TAO, the Kardashian women and friends were busy helping Khloe celebrate her 24th at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas on Friday (June 27).
Posing for the photographers upon arrival, Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Reggie Bush joined Khloe, Kourtney and Kris Jenner on the red carpet.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” family continued on with a night of fun - socializing and dancing it up at the Caesars Palace hotspot.
In other Kardashian family news, Kim has started encouraging her fans to get in shape, offering up tips on her personal blog.
The first piece of advice: “An exercise that I’ve been doing every day that’s really been helping and no gym equipment is needed is… Get a chair or even go near your couch and make sure nothing is in front of it so you can stand right in front of it and act as if you are going to sit down but don’t actually sit! Just lightly touch your booty on it and come back up. Do that seven times! Then do the same thing but this time only half way, come back up and do that seven times. Then do it one more time but when you go to sit down and come back up, only come up about an inch up off the chair! So each time you go lower and lower! Once you finished your lucky 21, take a break and try it again. I try to do that cycle four times.”
Gossip Girl Taylor-Made for Modeling Deal
She may not be the subject of a spinoff, but Taylor Momsen is definitely on her way to getting more camera time.
At just 14 years old, the Gossip Girl star has signed a deal to be repped by leading poseur agency IMG Models.
While Momsen has yet to endorse or front any products or brand, it’s likely only a matter of time. IMG already has a healthy roster of star talent and is likely hoping to do for Momsen what it did for another teen TV star-turned-prolific spokesceleb (turned pot-possessing arrestee, but we’ll forget about that part for now), Mischa Barton.
Momsen now joins fellow IMG talent Drew Barrymore, Heidi Klum, Liv Tyler, Selma Blair and Hilary Duff.
