Miley Cyrus: "Coolest. Person. Ev-er!"
If only every 15-year-old could have Miley Cyrus’ self-esteem.
“Coolest. Person. Ev-er!” she joked to People in a recent interview when asked how she would describe herself.
Then, upon reflection, she replied, “I think I’m chill. I am very hyper but I’m very carefree.”
Aside from her calm and collected side, Cyrus also reveals a few of her oh-so-teenage proclivities, such as her desire for a new car when she turns 16, her big crush on the coolest handbags and her beauty regimenmascara and a suntan.
Ah, to still be years away from voting age.
The star of the upcoming Hannah Montana Movie, which she’s been filming in Nashville this summer, also admits to eating ketchup right out of the bottle (now there’s something the paparazzi have missed) and preferring tomboy wear and Juicy Couture sweats when she doesn’t have to be all dolled up.
But although she might not be your typical girly-girl, it’s not as if she doesn’t make time to think about boys: Ask her who she prefers, McDreamy or McSteamy, and she’ll tell you that she’s a Dempsey girl all the way.
Of course, all this chit-chat is probably just leading up to a few more pressing topics, such as what Cyrus has learned in the wake of the Vanity Fair photo flap.
“A lot has happened,” she says. “There have been a lot of changes, but it’s all good. I’ve been really blessed.”
The teen says that she still has things to learn about “knowing which people I can trust and being more aware of my surroundings. It’s like DorothyI’m not in Kansas anymore.”
Meanwhile, the Disney Channel phenom has a new Hannah-free album, Breakout, ready to drop July 22, all just part of her plan to conquer the world by 18.
“Madonna always reinvents herself, and that’s what I want to do,” Cyrus says. “Whatever comes my way that sounds good, that’s what I want to do. Whether it’s designing clothes or photography or whatever.”
Hilary Duff’s Day of Beauty
Hilary Duff’s Day of Beauty
While some celebrities would rather have high-paid assistants do all of their running for them, Hilary Duff is the kind of girl who likes to get things done herself.
The “Foodfight!” starlet was spotted out and about in Toluca Lake, California yesterday stopping by Cinema Secrets to pick up some beauty supplies.
And after grabbing a few girly-girl items, Miss Duff carried on to her next stop - a fabulous manicure at Venus Nails. And she looked comfy and casual in a loose-fitting v-neck t-shirt with a pair of black pants and her hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Duff’s latest film “War, Inc.” has been receiving rave reviews, garnering her the credibility as a ‘bona fide actress’ that she’s been fighting so hard to achieve (critics are saying things like Hilary Duff finally looks like a real actress.)
Tori Spelling Expecting a Baby Girl
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are expecting a girl, the actress tells Friends.
“We were shocked when the doctor said the ultrasound showed a girl!” says Spelling. “Since Dean has [a son] Jack and now Liam, I always kid him that he’s shooting only boys.”
But the couple are thrilled to have a female sibling for Liam, 1, and Jack, 9, McDermott’s son from a previous marriage.
“I’ve always wanted a little girl since I’m such a girly girl, and Dean always wanted a little girl as well,” says Spelling, 34, who had an emotional reaction as soon as she got the news. “I immediately started crying. I couldn’t believe it. I have my beautiful little boy and now I’ll have my little girl! It’s amazing.”
The actress, who has been open about her difficult relationship with her own mother Candy, hopes to correct the mistakes of the past. “Because my mother and I have always had a complicated relationship, I always wanted a girl to prove that the past doesn’t have to repeat itself,” she says. “I can’t wait to be a great mom and friend to her.”
Still, she admits to having some jitters about her new role. “I’m a little nervous to have a girl,” she says. “But mostly, I’m just excited for the same reasons – to prove to myself that I can be an amazing mom to a little girl.”
And what about dad? “Dean says he will be totally overprotective!” says Spelling with a laugh. “He says ’especially if she looks like her beautiful mamma!’ Aaahh … Love my man!”
Spelling’s first book sTori Telling is currently available in bookstores.
