Disney Plans For National Treasure 3 & 4
Yesterday, Disney registered the domain named for NationalTreasure3DVD.com and NationalTreasure4DVD.com, spawning rumors that Walt Disney Pictures is planning back to back sequels. National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets was released 6 weeks ago, and has already earned over $365 million worldwide, already beating the overall take of the original 2004 film. So a sequel seems almost certain.
And now Jim Hill has learned of a brief plot description has been making the rounds “which would supposedly send the Gates family off to Easter Island and beyond in search of Atlantis. More importantly, the pure, clean power source that was supposedly lost forever when this ancient civilization sank beneath the sea. Which — were it to be harnessed today — would immediately put an end to global warming. Not to mention making gas & oil obsolete.” Could this be the information hidden on Page 47 of the President’s book?
But with the writers strike still in full effect, this is all just here-say.
Leo DiCaprio Invited to Scottish Parliament
Leo DiCaprio Invited to Scottish Parliament
It was a relaxing weekend for Leonardo DiCaprio and his red hot girlfriend Bar Refaeli. The happy pair was spotted doing a little shopping in Los Angles, looking so happy together.
The “Titanic” actor was sporting an “Italia” zip-up hoodie with a baseball cap, jeans, and sneakers, while his beautiful babe opted for a cardigan sweater/jeans combo.
And it sounds like Leo may be speaking to Scottish leaders soon about environmental issues. Green Party leader Patrick Harvie has reportedly written to DiCaprio requesting his presence at the Holyrood to speak about the threat of global warming.
It seems that Leo’s film “The 11th Hour” has stirred up talks about how humans are negatively impacting our planet, and the Scots are looking at how they can help better our global situation.
The letter said, “It would be a great help were you able to speak to other members of the Parliament about the urgency of the threat we face.” The Green Party is currently awaiting a response from the “Blood Diamond” actor.
An Inconvenient Truth Sequel?
IESB.
But is a sequel really a good idea? How much more is there to say? Would Al Gore be involved? The first film was essentially a streamlined version of Gore’s slideshow presentation. I assume like most other things, the footage that hit the cutting room floor ended up there for a reason. And Gore says he won’t be running for President in 2008 to continue his focus on the fight against Global Warming. He say’s that’s more important, and I agree.
But IESB does bring up a good point. The first film was put together in the matter of months. What if Gore did decide to run? A sequel could hit theaters in time for the November election. Now that would be unprecedented.
Sienna Miller Films Nude Lake Scene
Sienna Miller Films Nude Lake Scene
Despite getting upset over having nude pictures from the set of her new movie show up on the Internet, Sienna Miller once again took it all off for the cameras this weekend.
This time, the British actress was filming a lake scene for her upcoming comedy, “Hippie Hippie Shake.” She also had the company off a male actor who was required to drop his drawers, too.
In the film, Sienna plays a free loving hippie (hence the need for nudity), in director Beeban Kidron’s adaptation of Richard Neville’s memoir, “Hippie Hippie Shake: The Dreams, the Trips, the Trials, the Love-ins, the Screw Ups: The Sixties.”
And in other Sienna news, it has been reported that the Environmental Media Association has plans to honor her on October 24th with the “EMA Futures Award” for “her work with Global Cool, a campaign using fashion to address global warming.”
