Ahh, the pitfalls of being a London call girl. I’ll have to remember Belle’s trick for when I’m stuck with a marathon runner and I’m on someone else’s clock. That someone else is Ashok. We met Belle’s very first client tonight. I already hope we see more of him.

First, this episode was better than last week’s. I like getting know a bit more about Belle’s / Hannah’s character. The tidbits about her business are interesting, but you can’t build a show around just that. I enjoyed getting to know Ashok a little bit too; he seems every bit as charming as she described him.
We learned a bit more about Belle / Hannah in the way that she looks at Ashok. She smiles at him as if they really do have a relationship. (Perhaps they do in a way.) They joke. She gives him a book. He knows what she drinks. Also, I found it interesting that she pointed out Ashok’s wife hasn’t had sex with him for years, justifying his decisions to hire a prostitute.
The “moonlighting” was quite amusing. Our London call girl doesn’t sleep when she’s doing all-nighters. She meets a man at the hotel bar who was hungry for a good time (and willing to pay). Belle assessed him — apparently a man’s shoes and watch will tell you how quick he is in bed. Sounds like easy money, right? When he said he was a marathon runner, I laughed out loud. It’s moments like that where Billie Piper really shines. As some of you have pointed out, she’s great at breaking the fourth wall. And she is. However, only some moments are really conducive to it. And it doesn’t always need a one-liner. It can just be a sarcastic look.
For the past two weeks, I’ve noticed (and you readers, too) that Belle constantly breaks her rules. For example, this week she had a beer yet she told us last Monday that she never drinks on the job. Belle seems so meticulous about following her rules and being professional. But she’s always breaking them. One of the commenters pointed out that maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I think it’s a good possibility. I just don’t see what purpose that serves. Am I missing something? I guess I’ll just have to get over it.
Just one more thing. I’m currently reading the real Diary. I noticed that the show glossed over what Belle puts in her bag at the beginning of the episode. Here’s the passage from the Diary where she lists everything. I’m interested to her your thoughts.

We’ve seen plenty of sports stars and Hollywood hotties intermingling. But over the weekend, Tinseltown’s hottest took over Dodger Stadium for the 50th Annual Hollywood Stars Game. And Kendra Wilkinson thoroughly enjoyed herself.
The Playboy Playmate donned a white Los Angeles Dodgers uniform and brought her A-game, along with stars like Desperate Housewives’ James Denton, David Arquette, and Carlos Mencia.
Mencia explained the ‘grass is always greener’ principle of actors and athletes. “Celebrities want to be athletes, and athletes want to be Hollywood stars so to speak. I don’t know what to call myself, but when I was a kid—I grew up in East L.A.—the farthest thing from my mind was being able to afford season tickets, let alone stepping on this sacred field where I watched unbelievable games.”
And while she had a smashing good time at the park, don’t expect Kendra to be making a career change anytime soon. She’d much rather be a Girl Next Door.

Just voted as People magazine’s Hottest Bachelor, fitness buff Mario Lopez has a shocking confession to make. “I was a chubby baby. I looked like a sumo wrestler. My mom had to pull the folds apart when she bathed me!”
The exercise guru, who’s recently single following his split with Karina Smirnoff, says that a full slate of projects has kept him off the dating market - but that hasn’t completely stopped him from thinking about dating.
“I like a girl who’s from a modest sort of upbringing, because it’s more relatable,” he says, explaining what he looks for in a potential girlfriend.
“I’m a first-generation American. My parents [Elvia and Mario Sr.] emigrated from Mexico and live in the same house I grew up in Chula Vista, Calif. I’d feel weird if the girl was a little too uppity or affluent, because I’m a very down-home kind of guy,” tells Mario.
And for the lucky ladies who do manage to land a date, expect to be flexible.
“I like to go to a place in Korea town in L.A. where they have private karaoke,” he says of his favorite date activity. “It’s a great place to bring a girl and see how she reacts. If she rolls with the punches and has a good time, then I’m like, ‘All right, this girl is cool!’”

Los Angeles, California got an extra dose of drama yesterday as the always-interesting duo of Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson teamed up with UK bad girl Lily Allen.
The tumultuous trio was spotted heading out to dinner at the trendy Il Sole restaurant following Allen’s transatlantic flight from London, England.
And the three ladies looked to be having a smashing good time, all bearing smiles as they exited the eatery to find a throng of paparazzi waiting for them.
This is Lily’s first visit to America for quite some time, due to her Visa complications involving an assault on an English photographer last August. She’s in town to polish off her much-anticipated sophomore release.
Miss Allen blogged, “So, they let me in. Hello America, it’s nice to be back. Immigration was funny. They only kept me for an hour or so. I don’t think all the businessmen liked us very much, some pink haired weirdo… ha ha.”
