Green Hornet Scoop: Seth Rogen vs. Bruce Lee!
He’s already the unlikeliest leading man in Hollywood, but are you ready for Seth Rogen: Action Hero? He is, kinda, as he preps for his tights-wearing close-up in The Green Hornet, set for summer 2010. But do his Knocked Up fans even know the old comics or ’60s TV series?
“When you say The Green Hornet to people, the first thing anyone says is, ’Hey, Bruce Lee played [the sidekick] Kato on that show,’” Rogen told us recently, while out promoting The Pineapple Express.
Everybody knows the sidekick, see, but not the hero.
To introduce the world to Kato’s second fiddle, Rogen wrote the script with his Superbad and Pineapple partner Evan Goldberg. Here’s what they cooked up…
“For years we’d actually been trying to write a movie that was kind of about a hero and his sidekick,” Rogen said. “When we heard The Green Hornet movie was up for grabs, we thought that could be the most perfect way to do this story; he’s the only hero whose sidekick is actually more known than he is.”
But can the man known for making gay jokes and insulting Matthew Fox kick ass? He’ll just have to turn all his four letter words into explosions.
“In writing The Green Hornet, we have not hit many situations where you’re like, ’You know what would make this scene better, if Kato said c–ksucker.’”
Well, not yet, at least.
Guy Ritchie’s RockNRolla Movie Trailer - Return to Form?

Empire has the movie trailer for Guy Ritchie’s new film RockNRolla. When a Russian mobster orchestrates a crooked land deal, millions of dollars are up for grabs, and all of London’s criminal underworld wants in on the action. Everyone from a dangerous crime lord to a sexy accountant, a corrupt politician and down-on-their-luck petty thieves conspire, collude and collide with one another in an effort to get rich quick. I’m not quite sure what to think about this new trailer. On one hand it looks like a return to form for Ritchie. On the other it almost feels like Ritchie is doing an impression of his old self. Don’t get me wrong, it instantly looks 100 times more cool at Ritchie’s 2002 bomb Swept Away. Watch the trailer below and as always, tell me what you think in the comments!
Starring Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jeremy Piven, Idris Elba, Tom Wilkinson, RockNRolla is set to hit theaters on October 31st 2008.
Britney Spears Grabs Dinner with Larry Rudolph
Britney Spears Grabs Dinner with Larry Rudolph
Taking a break from her usual routine of working out and recording, Britney Spears was spotted out and about with her assistant in Studio City yesterday afternoon.
The “Gimme More” singer was all about furniture shopping, spending ample time picking out some new items for her home, and looking fit and trim in a pair of distressed jeans and a summery purple top.
And with all of that shopping, Brit had worked up quite an appetite, so she headed over to the Bond St. restaurant in Beverly Hills to meet up with her manager Larry Rudolph.
Rudolph is the guy responsible for helping the “Toxic” singer make her way to the top of the pop music industry back in the day, so it makes sense that Britney would be enlisting his services once again to help her mount a successful comeback.
Charlize Theron: Don’t Call Me A Celebrity
Charlize Theron: Don’t Call Me A Celebrity
When you’re one of Hollywood’s top actresses, commanding millions of dollars per film, it’s hard to avoid becoming a celebrity. But Charlize Theron hates the label.
The “Italian Job” actress says that her privacy is too precious to let the media into her life all the time. “I don’t like celebrity. I don’t like this whole culture that we’re living in now, and I don’t like this casual attitude that if you decide to be an actor then your life is up for grabs.”
Even simple daily tasks have become troublesome for the “Monster” actress. “It’s just not nice to go and get your groceries and have seven cars following you. I think I am becoming a little bit more closed off because of it.”
And the 32-year-old actress says she loves the season of life she’s in. “I’m 32 and I absolutely love it. I wouldn’t want to go back to my twenties in a heartbeat. Life is a big old f***ing mystery, and I’m ready to go and experience it. I don’t have all the answers, but it’s great to feel that being in my early 30s I have been on the search - we all need to be on that search.”
