Miley Cyrus Is Just Like Us! (If We Were on the Cover of Billboard)
Miley Cyrus graces the latest cover of Billboard, dishing about coming of age, being taken seriously as an artist and the controversy surrounding her naughty, naughty shoulder blade.
We’ve always loved us some Miley, but we find it hard to take a woman too seriously when all 90 pounds of her is saying stuff like, “I’m a good ol’ Southern girl that likes her Cracker Barrel at 9 o’clock at night and if I want it, gosh darn, I’m going to eat it. I’m not going to make myself miserable.”
Uh-huh. Here are more of her “imperfections” in some Hannah highlights:
On Her Album: “It’s grown-up. I wrote all the songs except two. My last one, Meet Miley Cyrus, was more just meeting me, finding out who I am, and here it’s more getting in depth of what’s been going on in my life in the past year.”
On Her Art: “No matter how long what I’m doing here lasts, I want to be a songwriter for the rest of my life…I just hope this record showcases thatmore than anythingI’m a writer.
“I wrote my first song when I was probably 7it was called ’Pink.’ That shows what kind of song it was aboutit’s about the color pink. But you know what, darn it, I wrote it and I’ve been writing since I was my little sister’s age.”
On Her Shoulder: “I was embarrassed,” she says of her famous Vanity Fair photo shoot. “But also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong. I think that just makes me even more relatable. I don’t think people will look at me any differently because they’re like, ‘You know what, I’m going to do stupid stuff too, and I’m going to make mistakes, and that’s fine.’ It still hurts when I think about it.”

Hollywood’s Summer Baby Boom
Buy some stock in Pampers. Now.
Jessica Alba, who graces the cover of the June/July issue of Fit Pregnancy, is just one of several celebs who are prepping for diaper duty this summer.
And when it comes to child rearing, the Fantastic Four star tells the magazine, "I don't want to be my child's friend; I want to be a mom."
Of course, in the case of 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, who is also due to drop soon, no one will blame her kid if it can't help but look at mom and think friend, or playmate, for that matter.
Then, there are also those returning for an encore performance, including hot mama Gwen Stefani as well as Angelina Jolie, who just confirmed she is having twinsthough her reported due date of Aug. 19 seems to be at odds with the very pregnant photos taken last week at Cannes.
Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman is barely even showing, though it feels like she's been preggers forever.
So whose little tyke do you think will venture out into this cruel world first for his or her close-up? Sound off in the comments section below…
Cameron: "I Am Deeply Appreciative"
Cameron Diaz is in mourning.
Production has halted on her current film, My Sister's Keeper, as the actress has cleared her schedule to regroup with her family following the loss of her father.
Emilio Diaz died Tuesday from complications due to pneumonia. He was 58.
"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family," the actress said in a statement through publicist Brad Cafarelli.
"My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."
Diaz and sister Chimene huddled at their parents' home in Seal Beach, Calif., with other family members and a rotating group of friends.
A neighbor and family friend described Cameron as "distressed," and said that her mother, Billie, is in "deep mourning."
"Their privacy should be respected," added the friend, who asked not to be identified.
Meanwhile, sources tell News that Diaz, 35, has canceled an appearance at an Elton John-hosted party Wednesday night celebrating British GQ.
Diaz graces the cover of the latest issue.

More Scoop on the 90210 Spinoff…

Fellow 9-0 fans, just wanted to let you know that our friend Rob Thomas has finished the first draft of the pilot for the Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff, and I’m happy to report that he’s made a young BH High student by the name of Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez the host of the school's Blaze news show. How great is that?! Unfortunately, Miss Hannah only graces one quick scene with her presence, but we have our fingers crossed for more appearances to come…and perhaps a cameo by her accomplished parents, Andrea and Jesse?
And speaking of roles for a few of our old West Bev friends, word is Mr. Thomas has his heart set on Jennie Garth reprising her role as Kelly Taylor, who would now be a fashion design teacher at BHHS. With Jennie signed on to shoot a CBS pilot this season, we’re not sure if that idea will make the final cut, but we certainly hope so.
Need more? Rumor has it that some of the series regulars will TP the Spelling mansion in that first ep as an homage to the original show. They’re also rocking a party at the Beverly Hills Hotel—why it’s not at the Bel Age, I don’t know—and making reservations at the Peach Pit, which has clearly become much higher class. I mean, reservations? Really?!
