Everybody knows that nothing beats a trip to Italy for a romantic getaway. And Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were spotted enjoying each other’s company in Rome last night (June 30).
The newly engaged ladies eagerly displayed their affection for one another, holding hands and smiling at each other as they strolled around the romantic city.
And when it came time for dinner, they stopped into local favorite Sabatini where they ate and canoodled one another. Ellen sported a short sleeved black button-up shirt with grey tweed trousers and a pair of canvas slip-ons, while Portia opted for a sexy sleeveless black top with white trousers.
As for their upcoming wedding, sources say they’ll be holding the ceremony at the Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, California.
An insider revealed, “They didn’t sign the contract yet, but they’re working out the final details and security. The hotel is doing $70 million in renovations that will be done in October. They said they wanted to have the ceremony in the tropical gardens, by the pool and the reception in the grand ballroom. They will also close a significant portion of the hotel.”

She wore a very sexy strapless black top, coupled with a knee-length white skirt with black polka dots and a pair of sparkly heels.

It’s a great week for charity benefits in New York City. On Monday night the Food Bank of NYC had a big shindig, and last night the Breast Cancer Research Foundation held its own party, with stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Elizabeth Hurley showing support.
The historic Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom was the place to be last night for celebrities and charity. The “Shallow Hal” actress looked gorgeous, as usual, in a sleeveless pink gown with a black sash and handbag.
British babe Elizabeth Hurley also showed up to lend a helping hand, along with her husband Arun Nayar. And they weren’t the only ones joining in from Mother England.
Sir Elton John performed at the event in honor of his friend Linda Stein, who was a member of the foundation’s advisory board. Stein was slain in her apartment back in October.

Rosie O’Donnell is prepping for her final appearance on “The View,” with her resignation speech given today. O’Donnell is finally pulling out after a series of embarrassments and criticisms.
When she will actually stop annoying the show’s viewers is still up in the air, as TMZ stated that it’s likely O’Donnell will stick it out through the end of the season.
According to the Post chronicle, “The announcement comes on the heels of O’Donnell making a fool of herself in front of 2,000 of New York’s most accomplished women in media yesterday. The lesbian and comedian-turned-controversial loudmouth was at the Matrix Awards at the Waldorf-Astoria Grand Ballroom when she decided to let loose and unbuckle her manners belt.”
The always-classy O’Donnell “dropped an F-bomb or two, grabbed her crotch, and yelled ‘Eat me!’ to Donald Trump, which left Barbara Walters less than amused.”
Whether the departure is being forced upon Rosie, or on her own free will, is still up for debate… nonetheless, it’s welcomed either way.
