McFly - One for the Radio Lyrics

Here’s another song for the radio

Life isn’t fair for the people who care
Stick your nose in the air and that’s how you go far
So go tell your lovers, your fathers and brothers
Your sisters and mothers how lucky they are

Light speed, out of my mind
I’m hurt, but I’ll be fine
Put you fist in the air,
Raise your voice and declare,
Singing: We don’t care,
(We don’t care)
We don’t care
(We don’t care)

So here’s another song for the radio
And here’s another line from the heart
So don’t pretend you hate us when you sing along
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark

L.A temptations, or music sensations
There’s great expectations that weigh on our heads
So here’s to the liars who dream and conspire
Against the admired, we hope you drop dead

Light speed, out of my mind
I’m hurt, but I’ll be fine
Put you fist on your chest,
Raise your voice and protest,
Singing: We don’t care,
(We don’t care)
We don’t care
(We don’t care)

So here’s another song for the radio
And here’s another line from the heart
So don’t pretend you hate us when we sing our songs
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark

We don’t, we don’t care
We don’t, we don’t care
We don’t, we don’t care
We don’t, we don’t care

Here’s one for the radio
Here’s one for the radio
Here’s one for the radio
(one for the radio)
Here’s one for the radio

So here’s another song for the radio
And here’s another line from the heart
So don’t pretend you hate us when we sing our songs
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark

Here’s another song for the radio
(song for the radio)
Here’s another line from the heart
(o o o o)
So don’t pretend you hate us when you sing along
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark
(from the radio)
‘Cuz we all look the same, we all look the same in the dark
(from the radio)
‘Cuz we all look the same, we all look the same in the dark

Kyle XY: Primary Colors

Kyle XY
(S02E20) “I’m alive.” - Sarah

As many of us theorized, Sarah is alive and kicking. What we don’t know though is where she is, why she sent the disk to Jessi and not Adam, how she discovered Jessi and where she lives, what her end game is, etc. The reveal of her being alive was interesting as in tapped in Kyle’s abilities and showed everyone what could happen if Kyle was “mediocre” (Jessi’s word here not mine).

Kyle XY Everyone took Kyle for granted and expected him to help them. Kyle being, well, Kyle, he couldn’t say no to his friends and family members so not to disappoint them. Even if we now know that his brain farts were due to the song, it’s clear that everyone was too demanding and that Kyle needed to learn to calm down and think of himself in all of this. But Kyle being, well, Kyle, I doubt that he’ll slow down any time soon especially now that they know Sarah is out there and clearly wants to be found.

Kyle XYAfter seeing Sarah’s message, I went back to “Great Expectations” in which Kyle receives an IM that included a Latnok symbol from an anonymous source. I wanted to know if the symbol in the email had a red center and it does not (see picture on the left). I thought that maybe Adam sent Kyle the IM to let him know he was back in action (Adam showed up a few episodes after the IM was sent); however, it was never cleared up who sent the IM. So could Sarah have sent the email and included the Latnok ring of another member to put Kyle on a certain path? Back when episode 2.16 aired, most of you thought Adam was the one who IMed Kyle but now I’m wondering if it is the case. We’ll surely learn the truth before the season ends.

The Tragers called on Adam to help Kyle with his hearing problems. It was about time that the three of them met but why didn’t they want Lori and Josh to meet Kyle’s biological father? Just imagine what wisdom sayings would have come out of Josh’s mouth when face to face with Adam! Now that the Tragers and Adam met, I expect more visits from him to the house. Adam now knows he is welcomed to the Tragers’ and Nicole will probably want to meet with him in order to better understand Kyle in the hope to help him evolve and develop his abilities in the proper environment.

In last week’s poll, almost 95% of you predicted that Andy was healed. It’s still unclear though if it was Kyle’s doing but I’m happy she is alright. Adam doesn’t think Kyle is able to heal someone else at this stage of his development. But Kyle is not Adam so anything is possible. Plus Kyle did have a nose bleed after hugging/healing Andy, so it could be proof that he did heal her. Then again, some will argue that he tried to heal her but that he isn’t powerful enough yet to completely cure her.

Kudos to the sound editing of this episode because I was annoyed and disoriented, which helped understanding how Kyle was feeling at the time.

Kyle XY: Great Expectations

Kyle XY
(S02E16) “We need to talk.” That statement was key in this week’s episode. Still learning about the world, Kyle didn’t know what the statement could mean. For him (and Jessi), it meant that the other person wanted to…well, talk! But for the entire Trager family, it meant that Amanda was ready to call it quits. I was sure that she didn’t want to break up but I expected her to reveal that something terrible happened to her while in the Big Apple.

Josh “Foss” Trager

Kyle XYSince Foss is MIA, Josh elected himself as Kyle’s trainer. It’s not surprising considering Josh kept tabs on what Kyle did to prove he was an alien. Now that he knows who/what Kyle really is, Josh needs another project: test Kyle in order to discover all his powers. It looks like Josh is really doing it to help Kyle but somehow I feel like deep down inside Josh likes this project because he gets to see first-hand powers that he only dreamed about when reading comic books. It’ll be interesting to see what Josh comes up with next to test…err, help his friend.

Spring Cleaning

As Kyle said it at the end of the episode, spring cleaning is a chance to redefine yourself. I’m not surprised Nicole told Stephen to take the teaching job. That couple is so cool and understanding. He needed the little push to tell him that everything would be alright even if he didn’t take the corporate job. I’m pretty sure that we will see a changed Stephen in the upcoming episodes.

Josh, who decided last week that he wanted to become a doctor, showed a more serious side this week by studying and actually trying to get extra credit. Of course, don’t expect Josh to become a model student instantly: see how he tried to get Lori and Kyle to help him with “Romeo & Juliet” and how he quickly agreed to help them out with the plan to contact Amanda! I like this new Josh but the writers need to have him keep his humor and great lines.

Lori was also doing some spring cleaning. She discovered that she was indeed cynical and tried to fight her urges to be just that. I loved that scene when she explodes in front of Declan! That was a funny scene that well defined who Lori is. Every show needs a cynical character, let’s hope Lori stays in that spot.

Amanda and Kyle… and Jessi

Kyle XYWhen Amanda exited the taxi and told Kyle she was there to surprise her mother, I knew something was iffy. As I’ve said in the intro, I expected that something bad happened to her. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish for bad things to happen to people but Amanda needed a meatier storyline and a tragedy while in NYC could have provided some of the meat. Amanda saying that she just didn’t see herself as a pianist anymore made sense since the episode’s theme is self-discovery and deciding what you want to be but that reveal was a let down (at least to me). I’m not sure I like that “I’m on the run” storyline Amanda now finds herself in. Unless Kyle moves her to another location, Amanda will soon have to face the music, go back home and have a good talk with her over-protective mother.

As expected, Kyle was quite resourceful in order to talk to Amanda. It always amazes me how he interprets things. When Amanda’s mother said that she didn’t want him to see or talk to Amanda, I knew it included IMing and emailing. Yet, Kyle studied the semantics and, to him, decided that writing to Amanda was not breaking the rules. But Carol Bloom had a bag of tricks and made sure Kyle couldn’t get in touch with her daughter.

Not surprisingly, Jessi’s evil self came back when she saw Amanda and Kyle kissing; thus, putting her training in jeopardy. Until we have a definitive new villain to hate, Jessi’s evilness needs to resurface here and there. With Brian saying that he has “big plans” for her, you can bet we haven’t seen the last of Evil Jessi! What could those plans be? Take over the world like Pinky and the Brain?
