Janet Jackson’s Baby Plans Catch Her by Surprise
Janet Jackson is so busy prepping for her upcoming Rock With U World Tour, she must have forgotten her plan to have a baby with longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri following said tour. Or maybe she was never clued in to the pregnancy plot?
“So, Jermaine…said that you guys may be ready for baby. Is that true?” Ryan Seacrest probed this morning on his KIIS-FM morning show.
A stunned-sounding Janet replied, “When did he say that?”

Ryan told Janet that when asked by People magazine this weekend, “Are you imminently ready for baby?” Jackson’s potential baby daddy said, “Yeah, soon. Right after the tour.”
“I guess he is,” Janet acknowledged, laughing.
No word on whether Janet is agreeing to take part in these rumored baby-making plans, but we have a feeling her man is going to be getting an earful tonightand not the kind that involves hip-hop beats.
Rocker Doesn’t Want Son Singing the Pink Blues
Gender-bending is cool for rocker dudes, but apparently not for the next gen. Case in point, Pete Wentz tells In Touch Weekly, “I’d like to know the sex of the baby. It would be a bummer if you bought a boy a bunch of pink stuff!”
Guess that androgynous, guyliner-wearing Fall Out Boy schtick is cool on the road, but if a boy falls out of wifey Ashlee Simpson-Wentz in October when she’s due, that’s different.
It seems parents are all the same: Do as I say, not as I do!
Woo-woo-woo: Arsenio Hall to host new MyNetworkTV show
Former talk show host Arsenio Hall hasn’t been around much the past few years. He was a regular the last couple of seasons on CBS’ Martial Law and has made guest appearances here and there, but for the most part he has stayed out of the limelight. Now Hall is coming back to television to host a new weekly reality show.
The show is called Funniest Moments and I’m sure you can guess what the show is without me even explaining it to you. Think about it for a moment while I go grab a cold drink out of the fridge.
I’m back. Did you guess what it is? That’s right, it’s a funny “clips” show like America’s Funniest Home Videos or Most Outrageous Moments. The show will be an hour long and air on Wednesdays at 9pm starting this fall on MyNetworkTV, the network no one is sure they’ve even seen before but they probably have and just don’t know it.
McGruff the Crime Dog has a blog (E-I-E-I-O)
TV viewers will remember the series of commercials that featured the animated law enforcement icon McGruff The Crime Dog, the ones that told us to “take a bite outta crime.” He now has a blog.
Yup, the crime-solving (or crime-preventing) canine takes his paws and taps out blog entries for the kids to read, handing out advice about safety, health, and life in general. You can also read stories on how McGruff became a crime dog (he used to hang out at the local police station and listen to cop stories and asked cops how he could help - the cops said “what’s a dog going to do to fight crime?” - I guess a talking dog was OK but a talking dog that fought crime was completely unrealistic) and play McGruff games.
I don’t really agree with his assertion that they best way to deal with bullies is to just ignore them. I don’t think that has been good advice since an early episode of The ABC Afterschool Special in the ’70s. These days you need a weapon or at the very least a good lawyer.
