What If Michael Bay Wrote The Dark Knight?

Bruce: We hack the internet.
Alfred: Hack the internet?
Bruce: Yes, hack the internet.
General: No one’s ever hacked the internet before.
Bruce: Well, there’s a first time for everything.
General: Okay, I like it. But which one of the internets do we hack?
Bruce: All of them.”

Sound like a Michael Bay film? Wait, there’s more!

“We pan to a beautiful woman: platinum blonde with a huge rack. She is the hottest woman in the world, but she wears glasses because she is also the smartest woman in the world.”

That is a description of Rachel Dawes, played by Maggie Gyllenhaal in the soon to be released Dark Knight. These golden nuggets of humour come from Michael Bay’s version of The Dark Knight…which Michael Bay did not write. Spill.com did. Although, they do capture the spirit of a Michael Bay film. Lots of nonsense, good looking females and explosions. Oh and cars.

Gerard Butler Might Still Escape From New York

Gerard Butler Escapes From New York Remake

Rumors of Gerard Butler’s (300) departure from the Escape From New York remake have been greatly exaggerated. Butler, who has been doing press for his new romcom P.S. I Love You, insists that he hasn’t dropped out of the project, but is taking a wait and see position. In October, New Line hired Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines helmer Jonathan Mostow in to rewrite, with an option to direct. The actor points out that no start date has been slated.  If everything lines up again, Butler might indeed take on the character of Snake Plissken.

Originally Len Wiseman was attached to the project, and most recently, hack director Brett Ratner denied involvement in the project after weeks of fanboy protest over the rumored possibility.

Megan Fox Heats Up Fashion Week

Megan Fox Heats Up Fashion Week

Grab your bibs, boys.  As Los Angeles’ Fashion Week gets into full swing, hotties like Megan Fox are showing up and doing their best to steal the show from the models.

The 21-year-old “Transformers” babe was bringing the heat in a red flowy dress that left just enough to the imagination to drive male spectators wild.

She wore nude color pumps, with her black locks cascading down her shoulders, and lips pouting a la Angelina Jolie.

And reportedly, Fox isn’t done with comic book adaptations just yet.  She’s rumored to be staring in Hack/Slash, a film being made about the comic of the same name.  No word on when Megan will be taking on the lead role of “Cassie” but we’ll keep you posted.

Gossip Girl Creator is writing New X-Men Movie

Gossip Girl Creator is writing New X-Men Movie

Josh Schwartz, the creator of Gossip Girl, Chuck, and The O.C., let it slip that he’s currently working on the screenplay for the next X-Men film, a prequel/spin-off of sorts. The film will center on the other teenage characters attending the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.

“I’m very well aware that I’ll be bludgeoned by purists, but I love its mythology, and it comes with a pretty hefty paycheck,” Schwartz told Black Book Magazine. “It’s not like I’m adding new characters like Toaster Head, or anything like that. The Hulk looks like it’s going to be terrible. And why does he look like he’s fighting against the monster from Cloverfield? I mean, with Transformers, it’s not like fans were going to come back saying, ‘You used the wrong car.’ This, however, is a different story.”

Schwartz also admits that hack director Brett Ratner ”didn’t have a lot of credibility going in to the third X-Men movie,” (is this supposed to be to his defense?) and that “Bryan Singer got a free pass on Superman Returns because of his work on X-Men.”

But the question is: Can the guy who created Gossip Girl write a good superhero movie?
