Harvard Loves Paris Hilton

Harvard Loves Paris Hilton

Always the party girl, Paris Hilton was spotted out at Villa Lounge in Hollywood last night looking like she was ready to have a good time.

The “Stars are Blind” singer wore a black sequined party dress with some killer red heels and a gold shimmery scarf in her hair.

In addition to Miss Hilton, Justin Timberlake was also in the house, doing a little Friday night dancing at Villa.  Unlike Paris, however, JT wasn’t all about getting snapped by the paps.

Perhaps the “Simple Life” hottie was celebrating the news that the folks at Harvard University’s Harvard Lampoon magazine has chosen her to be honored as their Woman of the Year.

Reportedly, she’ll be accepting the award, as well as giving a speech, at a ceremony in Harvard Square on February 6th.  And two days later, her new film “The Hottie and the Nottie” will hit theaters.  Sounds like a big week!

As promised, Paris Hilton made a rare visit to Massachusetts today, picking up her trophy for being named Harvard Lampoon’s Woman of the Year.

The heiress showed up to the ceremony about an hour later than scheduled, walking up the steps of the Lampoon “Castle” before telling gathered onlookers: “You guys rock. Harvard is hot!”

Always the comedian, one eyewitness tells, “At one point Hilton tried to dupe the crowd by telling them her friend Nicole Richie was with her, before saying ‘Just kidding.’”

More seriously, the 26-year-old told the 100 plus onlookers: “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine standing here, standing on the steps of the Harvard Lampoon. It’s really exciting and I’ve had such a great time.”

Cambridge, Massachusetts is a place rich with our Country’s heritage and history.  And it got a lot hotter yesterday, courtesy of Paris Hilton.

As previously reported by , the “Simple Life” babe was in town to accept her Harvard Lampoon award yesterday, and the paparazzi caught up with her at the Liberty Hotel last night.

The “Hottie and the Nottie” starlet was wearing a lacy white dress with a fur-lined jacket and silver heels as she literally did an impromptu photo shoot for the awaiting paparazzi.

And it sounds like Paris is looking forward to her big 27th birthday bash, said to be taking place in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas.  Reportedly, Hilton will host an 80s-theme party at hot spot Area in LA before jetting off to Sin City.

Once in Vegas, Paris has big plans.  “I’m going to perform with the Pussycat Dolls. I’m going to go to Pure and LAX.” And somewhere along the line, she hopes to hop across the pond to find a man.  “There are cute boys in London. I have to go over there and check them out.”

Indiana Jones and the Poison Pen Letter

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Indiana Jones has battled Nazis, escaped certain death and found the Holy Grail.

That apparently doesn’t impress J.D. Salinger, the reclusive author of Catcher in the Rye. Hollywood Deadline alerted us to a Salinger letter auctioned on eBay, in which the author describes his reaction to seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark:

“I got hooked into seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark, which might be excused for its unwitty, unfunny awful socko-ness if it had been put together by Harvard Lampoon seniors.”

Ouch. We actually liked the socko-ness, but what do you expect from the guy who wrote in Catcher in the Rye? “If there’s one thing I hate, it’s the movies. Don’t even mention them to me.”

At least he didn't call Indy a phony.
