Duff Sisters to Paps: Enough is Enough

Duff Sisters to Paps: Enough is Enough

You gotta hand it to Hilary and Haylie Duff - while they’re two of the hottest sisters in Hollywood, they keep their collective noses clean, and we never see any mugshots of them floating around the Internet.

But when the paparazzi tried to infiltrate the Duff family’s divorce proceedings yesterday, the celebrity sisters took action.

It started when cameras began following the Duffs into the courthouse, leading to a Fox News cameraman being shoved.  The girls screamed, “What’s wrong with you?” as they made their way through the building.

And everything exploded when the camera crews eventually broke through the security barrier.  Both the Duffs and the paps were hurling insults at each other in an R-rated four-letter-word showdown.

Katherine Heigl’s Dog Day

Katherine Heigl’s Dog Day

Part of being a pet owner is making sure your little furry friend is always healthy and happy.  And Katherine Heigl is setting a good example for dog lovers everywhere.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” babe was spotted yesterday taking her four pooches, Weezer, Stella, Romeo, and Piper to a grooming salon in Los Angeles, California.  And while the pups are all relatively small, the sheer volume of them made for an interesting trip.

Earlier this week, Heigl treated her new hubby to a star-studded birthday celebration at Katsuya Hollywood, with guests like Zac Braff, Haylie Duff, Brooke Burns, David Charvet, Kristin Cavallari, Shane West, Jonathan Schaech, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

Katherine told press, “It’s been a great year… it’s been a really great year! I’m still getting used to that word husband.  It was really important to me to celebrate Josh in a fun and intimate way.  I just wanted tonight to be in an environment we both really love and we really love this place. This was the perfect combination of an intimate dinner with friends and a bigger thing at the bar where everyone can kick back and enjoy each other but it’s mellow.”

MTV’s Blonde Moment

Legally Blonde

Eat your heart out, Reese Witherspoon.

Not only is Haylie Duff executive producing MTV's new reality competition show Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods, but she'll also be featured in the series as a mentor to 10 young women competing to star in the hit Broadway adaptation of the Witherspoon flick. "They were all really hungry for it," Duff told me earlier today. "They were willing to put in whatever it took."

And that includes some backstabbing catfights, Duff said. "You have 10 girls with no cell phone, no money, no outside life other than this and each other," Duff said of the show, which premieres on MTV June 2. "And you know half of them would never be friends in real life outside of this, so of course there's that type of drama."

Duff knows what it's like to live the Broadway life. For three months toward the end of her television series, 7th Heaven, she starred in Hairspray as Amber von Tussle. "I was filming 7th Heaven in the morning and doing Hairspray at night," she said. "Eight shows a week takes a lot out of you. It feels like your whole life shuts down."

New MTV show searches for the next Broadway star - VIDEO

Haylie DuffMTV has a new show called Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods. The show, hosted by Haylie Duff, will follow ten hopefuls as they vie for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of starring on Broadway and replacing Tony-nominated actress Laura Bell Bundy in Legally Blonde The Musical.

In addition to learning the choreography and songs for the show, the ten young women will compete in challenges created by the team behind the real Broadway musical. They will also be guided by ex-cast members (including Laura Bell Bundy), the director of the show Jerry Mitchell, associate director Mark Bruni, and choreographer Denis Jones.

It should be noted that unlike other reality competitions, America will NOT decide who is the next Elle Woods. The judging panel will included casting director Bernard Telsey, writer Heather Hach, and Jerry Mitchell. Mitchell himself will have the final word on who takes the stage nightly. Do you think this will make for a more authentic look at what it takes to become a Broadway star?

MTV’s new show premieres Monday, June 2nd at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Watch the trailer after the jump.
