Heidi Klum’s Mobile Motherhood
Heidi Klum’s Mobile Motherhood
Living it up in the Big Apple, Heidi Klum, her parents and three children were spotted spending the day together in New York City on Saturday (July 5).
To kick things off, the happy bunch walked a few blocks in the West Village, stopping along the way so that Heidi could shop for clothes at Intermix and buy an umbrella.
After their retail work was completed, the Klum’s then headed off to Bar Pitti, where they all ate dinner together before venturing to a nearby ice cream shop in Greenwich Village for a late night treat.
Recently speaking with Redbook, Heidi explained how her kiddies help keep her in shape with activity filled days such as yesterday’s NYC jaunt, saying: “I have three children. That keeps you busy all the time. I work and we do a lot of things that are active. We work in the garden. We jump on the trampoline. We climb in the tree house and we go to the park and feed the ducks. We are always mobile.”

Heidi Klum: Business and Pleasure in NYC
With her high-profile career and demanding family life, it’s a wonder Heidi Klum ever finds time to sleep! The German supermodel was spotted balancing work and family in New York City yesterday.
Decked out in a sexy black dress and snakeskin Christian Louboutin heels, Klum was seen having lunch with her friends at the uber-trendy Barbuto restaurant in Manhattan.
Earlier in the day, Heidi tended to her professional duties at a photo shoot. And she took her kids and parents along with her, making sure to get some quality time with the fam.
The “Project Runway” babe recently told press the secret to her deep relationship with husband Seal. “There are many, many things. But I would say love is the most important thing. Seal and I feel very lucky that we found each other. He’s my best friend. He would never go in through a door first. He always opens the door for me and steps back so I walk through.”
And they’re still leaving the door open for adding to their brood. “So many people say, ‘I am so done.’ That hasn’t come out of my mouth, and it hasn’t come out of Seal’s mouth, either. I feel like we still have one coming.”
Project Runway gets new producers for Lifetime
A couple of months ago, I interviewed Lifetime president of entertainment Susanne Daniels for TV Week, asking her about Project Runway jumping from Bravo to her network.
“We know for certain that Heidi (Klum) and Tim (Gunn) are returning. We would love to see the judges back, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia…but we’re working on that,” she said.
She went on to say that the show will look and feel very much like it did on Bravo; it will be airing in the same time slot, the same day of the week. And she secured Kors and Garcia, so the four important Project Runway principals all will be in place.
Now comes word that in an effort to keep Project Runway as much a hit on Lifetime as it’s been on Bravo, Lifetime is bringing in the veteran production team Bunim-Murray to take over as showrunners.
Bunim-Murray have done 21 seasons of The Real World, and currently they’re doing two shows of E!, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Living Lohan.
There’s a sound reason for a change in producers. Magical Elves and the Weinsteins have inked a production deal with NBC Universal, Lifetime’s competitors. The producers tried in vain to stop Lifetime from poaching Project Runway, which meant that Lifetime had to to find new handlers.
Fortunately, they’ve turned to very experienced producers, so I’m thinking that the show is going to look and feel very much the same. If there’s any change, it may be in emphasizing more of the personality clashes between the contestants. That’s always been The Real World formula, and that’s fine with me.
Season five of Project, in which Cristian Soriano emerged as the winner — and a fierce competitor — lacked some of the fireworks from previous seasons. Remember evil Wendy Pepper? Arrogant Jeffrey Sebelia? Smart-ass Jay McCarroll? Wildcard Santino Rice? Those are the kind of characters that make Project Runway more interesting for me because I’m not a fashionista.
Anyway, we won’t be seeing the Lifetime edition until next November. The final Bravo run of Project Runway commences July 16, with Magical Elves and Weinstein at the helm.
Gossip Girl Taylor-Made for Modeling Deal
She may not be the subject of a spinoff, but Taylor Momsen is definitely on her way to getting more camera time.
At just 14 years old, the Gossip Girl star has signed a deal to be repped by leading poseur agency IMG Models.
While Momsen has yet to endorse or front any products or brand, it’s likely only a matter of time. IMG already has a healthy roster of star talent and is likely hoping to do for Momsen what it did for another teen TV star-turned-prolific spokesceleb (turned pot-possessing arrestee, but we’ll forget about that part for now), Mischa Barton.
Momsen now joins fellow IMG talent Drew Barrymore, Heidi Klum, Liv Tyler, Selma Blair and Hilary Duff.
