More Info On Helena Bonham Carter In Terminator Salvation

Two days ago it was revealed that Helena Bonham Carter will have a small but pivotal role in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. When I read this it got me interested because the role must be important, otherwise they wouldn’t have got an actress like Helena on-board. They could have just hired any random actress for such a small role. It reminded me of Emma Thompson’s part at the beginning of I Am Legend. She is a great actress and rather well known, yet was only on-screen for a minute or so and her role was important in explaining the whole ‘cure for cancer’ thing and was pivotal to the plot.

Joblo got some more info on Helena’s part in Terminator:

Just got word earlier this morning that it’s a done deal and Helena Bonham Carter will be filming are very substantial (in importance not necessarily in size) part in TERMINATOR SALVATION. The character is not Sarah Connor, as speculated below, but someone named “Serena.” Hmmm…..

Devin from CHUD also posted on his forum that the character will be a lead villain, but is only in two scenes.

I think the two scenes ‘Serena’ is in could set up for the next movie, where Helena Bonham Carters role will be considerably larger. But that just me speculating, I guess we won’t find out until next May.

Helena Bonham Carter Has a Baby

Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton Welcome a Baby | Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton Helena Bonham Carter and her director beau Tim Burton have welcomed their second child, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The infant, born in London late Saturday, joins big brother Billy, who is 4.

“They are absolutely delighted they have a daughter,” the actress’s rep, Karon Maskill, tells PEOPLE. “It’s a lovely Christmas present for the family.”

Bonham Carter, 41, and Burton, 49, have had a busy time of late. Both were nominated for Golden Globe awards for Sweeney Todd – she for best actress, he for best director. In fact, they got that news while at the doctor’s office.

“We were talking about inducing, and Tim got a call from his assistant,” Bonham Carter told PEOPLE before the birth. “I do look like a globe, so it’s kind of funny. I am very round.”

She also joked that it was probably hard on the baby while in utero to listen to Mom learning how to sing for her role in the musical. “Maybe the baby’s going to come out with his hands on his ears. ’Shut up!’ ” she laughed.

She added that the anticipation of meeting the new baby was intense. “I just can’t wait,” she said. “It’s hard to imagine we can make anything other than Billy.”

The couple revealed the pregnancy exclusively to PEOPLE in August.

Casting: Helena Bonham Carter returns for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Helena Bonham Carter, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Due to the Labor Day weekend, news is at a standstill. Warner Bros has announced that Helena Bonham Carter  has signed on to return as Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film adaptation. Carter is the first name outside of the main three that has been confirmed for the film. Although, I’m sure that the mainstays like Alan Rickman will also return for the sixth film. The sixth film is by far the least interesting of the series, so I’m not expecting much. Filming is scheduled to begin in two months as Half-Blood Prince is scheduled to hit theaters on November 21, 2008.
