Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt Release Date Set

A release date for Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno [rest of title] has been set, and its a biggie! We will see a flamboyant Austrian Cohen creating uncomfortable situations with the American public on May 15th 2009. That week has been the release of the Shrek trilogy, all three Star Wars prequels, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Da Vinci Code. To me this suggests Universal mean business!

We havent heard too much about the movie, however thats a good thing as we dont want to be spoiled too early. There has been talk of Ben Affleck being interviewed by Cohen in character, along with Arnold Schwarzenegger. There was also the incident in the lobby of Wichita Kansas Airport, where Bruno and his friend were caught stripping down to tight shorts.

Bruno Interviews Arnold Schwarzenegger

Bruno and Arnold Schwarzenegger

It seems like Sacha Baron Cohen in character as flamboyantly gay reporter Bruno attempted to interview California Governor and Hollywood action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger about the golden state’s decision to allow same-sex marriage for his upcoming Borat follow-up. Thanks to a few bodyguards, Schwarzenegger was able to dodge Bruno’s questions and quickly make a getaway in his nearby SUV.

Sacha Baron Cohen is F**king with Ben Affleck

Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno

Sacha Baron Cohen’s alter ego Bruno has recently been causing trouble in Kansas, shooting the follow-up to Borat, titled Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt (now try to say that five times fast). FilmDrunk reported earlier this week that security was put on red alert when “a German film crew member” started “stripping down to tight shorts and dancing in the lobby of Wichita Airport” (see video of this at the bottom of the post). A church in Kansas also reported that a strange European camera crew showed up to their Easter play with the on air personality in chains.

Mike Walker of the National Enquirer reported the following on the Howard Stern Show on Thursday: Ben Affleck called comedian friend Sarah Silverman after completing a sit-down interview with a person he was told was a “very famous openly gay fashion journalist”. Ben called the interview “the weirdest sit-down he has ever had with a reporter” explaining that the interviewer’s (wholm he refered to as an “idiot”) first question was “How Do You Like Niggers?” After a stunned silence, Silverman asked Affleck “Was this guy’s name Bruno?” Then and only then did Affleck actually realize that the whole thing was a gag. There is no doubt that this interview will be featured in the final cut, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters in October 2008.

As for the airport incident mentioned in the first paragraph, arbafart69 was able to catch some of the scene on camera. Is that Bruno?

Sacha Baron Cohen Spotted Filming Bruno!

Defamer got word that Sacha Baron Cohen is currently filming Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt. What a title! It makes me glad the copy and paste function was invented. Anyway, here’s what their tipster had to say.

“I saw Sacha Baron Cohen doing filming as Bruno (gay Austrian) at On Your Marks Studio in Sherman Oaks on Feb. 21st. He was dressed in tight leather black pants with a bedazzeled g-string showing. his hair was frosted blond and straight. He was interviewing parents with their children pretending to be an german / austrian ad agent looking for a child to do a car commercial. He asked questions like : are you willing to film your child with ants? bees or wasps? dogs? ect. very funny.”

How do you top a film such as Borat, where the American public are approached by a weird foreign dude? Have a film where the American public are approached by a weird gay foreign dude!
