High Resolution WALL-E Photo
I posted a new photo of WALL-E that premiered in Entertainment Weekly. Disney/Pixar has now sent us a super high resolution version of the image (which looks a hell of a lot better than my camera phone snapshot). Click on the image above to enlarge. WALL-E hits theaters on June 27th 2008.
New Iron Man Photo Revealed
FirstShowing has the goods, seen above. Click on the image to enlarge. Iron Man continues to stand tall on my list of most anticipated films of 2008. The suit is just so cool.
Although I am surprised at how flimsy the shoulder pad and the under arm metal chest plate look in high resolution. Don’t get me wrong, Iron Man still looks f’n cool. The mask just looks so comic book, almost surreal, slick, compared to the more realistic construction of that aforementioned area. Yes, I know, I’m just being nit-picky. But isn’t that what fanboys are supposed to do?
Iron Man hits theaters on May 2nd 2008.
The Dark Knight IMAX Featurette; 3D Prequel Rumors

IMAX has released a new featurette for their upcoming presentation of the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight. As you know, Christopher Nolan shot four sequences for The Dark Knight with extremely high resolution IMAX cameras using the giant 15/70 film format. When the scenes shot on IMAX cameras are shown in IMAX theatres, the aspect ratio will morph to 1.43 to 1, expanding the image to fill the entire IMAX screen. The new feature shows some behind the scenes footage of Nolan and the crew shooting with the IMAX rig, intercut with interview asides. It’s worth watching and features relatively no spoilers.
Rumor has it that a seven minute prequel to The Dark Knight will be shown in front of Warner Bros’ IMAX presentation of I Am Legend. And more recently, an anonymous scooper told Batman On Film that the Dark Knight prequel sequence will be shown in 3D. Somehow I doubt this, although I wish this was the case. Who wouldn’t want to see Batman kick ass in 3D?
Check out the featurette.
The Dark Knight hits traditional and IMAX theaters on July 18th 2008.
