While celebrities are usually spotted checking out high-end boutiques and expensive department stores, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentzwere all about being frugal yesterday (July 6).
The newlywed parents-to-be were spotted strolling around the Melrose Trading Post held at Fairfax High School, holding hands while looking for bargains.
Looking more pregnant every day, the “Little Miss Obsessive” songstress sported a black maternity tank top and a long black skirt, while her Fall Out Boy hubby stuck to his usual black t-shirt and jeans topped off with a black fedora.
Following their retail jaunt, Pete and Ashlee headed over to Toast Restaurant in Los Angeles to meet a girlfriend for lunch. At one point, Mr. Wentz took off to give the ladies some time for girl talk.

Always one to have an appetite for the ladies, Jude Law has been enjoying the company of a few lady friends over the holiday weekend.
A few days back, a freshly showered mystery woman was spotted exiting Jude’s home, with the actor also reportedly engaged in a romance with 20-year-old British model Lily Cole .
According to British tabloid reports, Jude and Lily had “enjoyed a romantic candle-lit meal together in the U.K. capital’s Covent Garden on Friday night, where onlookers said they were holding hands.”
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper, “Jude was keeping low-key. They were deep in conversation and making each other laugh. There was no blatant kissing but it was obvious they were more than just friends. Jude was being very affectionate and gazing into her eyes.”

Following a Fourth of July outing at Courteney Cox’s house the previous day, Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong were side-by-side once again on Saturday (July 5) - shopping at Bentons Sporting Goods store in Santa Monica.
The Fool’s Gold actress and her bicyclist beau took his 6-year-old daughter Isabelle with them on their weekend excursion - with Armstrong’s daughter holding hands with Hudson upon leaving the store.
Meanwhile, Kate isn’t letting her newfound love slow her down career-wise, as it was just announced that she’s lining up yet another role alongside Matthew McConaughey in a remake of Foul Play.
Of the film, which starred Hudson’s mother Goldie Hawn in the original 1978 version, Kate confirmed that negotiations have started but added that “we don’t even have a writer yet.”

Everybody knows that nothing beats a trip to Italy for a romantic getaway. And Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were spotted enjoying each other’s company in Rome last night (June 30).
The newly engaged ladies eagerly displayed their affection for one another, holding hands and smiling at each other as they strolled around the romantic city.
And when it came time for dinner, they stopped into local favorite Sabatini where they ate and canoodled one another. Ellen sported a short sleeved black button-up shirt with grey tweed trousers and a pair of canvas slip-ons, while Portia opted for a sexy sleeveless black top with white trousers.
As for their upcoming wedding, sources say they’ll be holding the ceremony at the Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, California.
An insider revealed, “They didn’t sign the contract yet, but they’re working out the final details and security. The hotel is doing $70 million in renovations that will be done in October. They said they wanted to have the ceremony in the tropical gardens, by the pool and the reception in the grand ballroom. They will also close a significant portion of the hotel.”
