She just can’t leave the house without attracting all kinds of attention, and yesterday Salma Hayek created quite a commotion during a simple shopping spree.
The “Fools Rush In” actress headed over to one of her favorite spending spots, the Fred Segal boutique, to grab some new duds. And she looked summertime sexy in a sleeveless red shirt and a pair of flair-legged jeans.
During her time at the Crystal Lucy Awards earlier this week, Hayek confessed that despite all of the hoopla, her mind was never far from her little almost-one-year-old daughter Valentina.
She told press, “I was with her right before we came. I was in the car telling my partner, I know it’s been ten minutes, but I miss her already.”
And it sounds like Salma is truly enjoying motherhood. “She sticks her tongue out, she claps at everything. From day one, she’s been smiling and laughing. She’s a very happy baby. Everything she does melts my heart.”

Joel Madden is one good boyfriend. At Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge (part of the star-studded hoopla surrounding the MTV Movie Awards this weekend), he dished that although he’s more into movies like Ironman and The Chronicles of Narnia, he’d see Sex and the City with Nicole Richie.
“Of course I’ll go with her!” he said after his DJ set. “She goes with me to all of my movies, so no problem. We do 50/50; I pick one and then she picks one.”

Seems like Nic was home watching Harlow, but Joel made sure to pick up the following goodies for her: Crumbs cupcakes, bikinis from 1690 Swimwear and a Lelo “pleasure object”. Benji also grabbed one for gf Paris Hilton as well. Looks like they’ll be having a good weekend.
Meanwhile, over at the Simply Stylist suite, Jeremy Piven accidentally walked out with someone else’s swag. The Entourage star was leaving Chateau Marmont in his Range Rover when word went out that some of Shark star Sarah Carter’s loot was missing. An organizer ended up finding it in the Pivs’ backseat!
Jeremy was totally apologetic and joked that he really wanted women’s stuff. But earlier, he actually got dresses from MM Couture and Bordeaux for a “lady friend,” whose identity he wouldn’t divulge.

While some celebrities get caught up in the hoopla of Hollywood, Petra Nemcova is using her star power to rally around some great causes.
The Czech supermodel was spotted at the Diamonds Empowerment Fund’s celebrity photo shoot for their Diamonds Give auction yesterday, looking sexy in a purple ruffled shirt, purple hat and a pair of vintage jeans.
And when she’s not helping out the Diamonds Empowerment fund, Petra is focusing her efforts on doing what she can for the Somaly Mam Foundation in an effort to raise awareness about the sex slave trade and human trafficking in Asia.
She told press, “It makes me so angry. Girls and boys get sold as young as four-years-old and are put in animal cages. Some of them never see the light anymore. We met this girl who was 13 and a pimp made her lose her right eye. The words ‘pimp’ and ‘child’ should never be in the same sentence.”
