Continuing to make the most of their trip to New York City, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had an eventful Saturday night in the Big Apple.
Striding around in a killer pair of Christian Louboutin heels, Katie, along with her Top Gun hubby, attended the Broadway play “The Country Girl” at the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre. The Hollywood supercouple also grabbed a bite to eat with Jerry Seinfeld’s wife, Jessica.
Upon returning back to their hotel, Katie rested a supportive hand on her husband’s back as he signed autographs for fans.
A source on the scene tells: “TomKat then listened intently to a hotel guest who shared a personal tragedy with the couple. As they finally entered their hotel having promised to do what they could to help the guest, even the doorman wanted the pair to stop for a chat before they could retire for the night!”

The separation between Jessica Simpson and John Mayer seems to be living up to the expectations of most - short-lived.
According to the latest AP reports, the ‘Continuum’ rocker was spotted leaving the pop star’s hotel room in NYC early Monday morning… indicating that the two have apparently decided to give their relationship another go.
While reps had publicly confirmed the end of the couple’s nine month romance last week, Jessica made a point of not talking about the split during her numerous interviews at the Cannes Film Festival.
Meanwhile, John stayed back home and tried his hand at stand-up comedy - poking fun at his ex-for-the-moment, Ms. Simpson. These antics weren’t enough to keep to two wishy-washy lovebirds away from one another for too long. After her brief stay in France, Jessica returned to the States on Monday, setting up at the Soho Grand Hotel in New York City. Not long after her check-in, company was on its way.
A fellow hotel guest who spotted John leaving Jessica’s suite told In Touch Weekly, “He was looking really happy. He couldn’t stop smiling.”
After a most assured night of make-up sex with Jessica Simpson, Mayer might just be smiling all week… and then they’ll probably break up again!
