Tom Cruise: Scientology’s Tony Robbins

Tom Cruise: Scientology’s Tony Robbins

Just in case you weren’t convinced of Tom Cruise’s utter devotion to his Scientology faith, a new video clip has been released of an interview with the “Risky Business” actor.

According to the clip, Tom is all about waking the world up to the insight and clarity that comes with “earning” your way into becoming a Scientologist.

He said, “I think it’s a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist, and it’s something that you have to earn because a Scientologist does… has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them.”

“Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident… you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help.  But that’s what drives me… I know that we have an opportunity to really help… effectively change people’s lives and I am dedicated to that. I am absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that.  We have a responsibility.  We are the authorities on getting people off drugs, we are the authorities on the mind, we are the authorities on improving conditions… we can rehabilitate criminals….we can bring peace and unite cultures.”

And Cruise says there’s just something that drives him to share his faith with others.  “I have to do it because I can’t live with myself if I don’t, and that really is it.  So it’s our responsibility to educate, create the new reality. We have that responsibility to say, ‘Hey, this is the way it should be done because we do it this way and people are actually getting better.’ And let’s get it done. Let’s really get it done and have enough love and compassion and toughness that you’re really going to do it and do it right.”

Rihanna’s World Tour Rolls Through London

Rihanna’s World Tour Rolls Through London

Continuing along with her world tour, Rihanna performed in front of a jam-packed O2 Centre in London on Friday night (March 7).

The Umbrella singer donned her standard racy bondage inspired outfit, complete with pvc thigh-high boots, hotpants, corset, and her diamond encrusted microphone.

Meanwhile, during a recent interview, the Barbados native shared some insight into the diet that keeps her figure so svelte.

Asked if she has a strict diet, Rihanna replied: “Carbs are the enemy but if I go three days without them, I start getting weak. If my trainer had her way, I’d eat small meals every three hours, but I sometimes only eat once or twice a day.”

Going into detail, the 20-year-old adds: “I have egg whites and pineapple for breakfast with hot water and lemon. For lunch I have fish and potatoes. I hate vegetables but I make myself eat them. For dinner I have fish again.”

Victoria Beckham’s Slice of Victorian Life

Victoria Beckham’s Slice of Victorian Life

Enjoying her stay back in London, Victoria Beckham popped out on Friday to do a little shopping and visit a few of her local favorites.

Housed in what was once London’s biggest 19th century charity school, Posh made sure to stop by the family-friendly Ragged School museum for a slice of Victorian life.

Carrying a few shopping bags of her own clothing line, Victoria enjoyed the museum’s offerings of roleplay, hands-on exhibits and talks - all providing insight into the experience of the poor of the East End a century ago.

In related news, the owner of the Los Angeles-based Kitson stores, Fraser Ross, has been complaining about the 33-year-old Spice Girl’s unwillingness to make an appearance at his shops.

“There has to be more support for their retailers. The celebrity has to be 100 percent involved with their own line and they have to be willing to support the retailers who are selling it. Having a clothing line should be treated by them as no different than selling an album or promoting a movie,” Ross told.

“I’m fighting right now with Victoria Beckham’s people because she lives here in L.A., we sell her line and she won’t come in here to do an appearance. We have customers asking if she will come in and what am I supposed to tell them? She lives here, she really should come out and support her fans, the people buying her jeans.”

Posh has, however, recently participated in a multicity tour with Saks Fifth Avenue to promote her fashionable creations.

Zach Braff Via MySpace: Scrubs Survives, Thanks to ABC!

Scrubs

Huzzah!

In the wake of Thursday's fairy-tale episode of Scrubs, we are finally getting some official insight into the fate of our friends at Sacred Heart.

Zach Braff just sent the following bulletin to his friends on MySpace, and he clarifies that (a) no, that wasn't the series finale, just the final episode on NBC, (b) the series is finishing out its run on ABC and (c) the continuity errors you superfans may have spotted in the fairy-tale ep are because NBC was running the poststrike eps out of order.

Steve McPherson will no doubt provide more details about ABC's Scrubs pickup at tomorrow's presentation, but in the meantime, click in to get the dish direct from Zach!

Subject: Scrubs moves to ABC

Body:

Dear friends,

Many of you have been understandably confused by the fairy-tale episode of Scrubs serving as the series finale. It was not. I was not allowed to say it until today, but Scrubs will be moving to ABC for its final season. We are currently filming the eighth and final season. The true finale of the show will air on ABC in the fall. NBC merely promoted the fairy-tale episode as the finale, as it was the last episode they owned.

Also, several of you were very confused by the fact that Dr. Kelso and Laverne were still working at the hospital in the fairy-tale episode. Because of the writer's strike, the last remaining episodes for NBC were aired out of order. This is why Dr. Kelso was still chief of medicine. That was not Laverne, however, for those of you who have been following closely; it was a new nurse "Shirley" who no one thinks looks anything like Laverne except for JD.

Hope this clears some things up.

Peace and love,
Z.B.
