Victoria’s Secret catwalker Adriana Lima has officially gotten engaged to NBA hoops man Marko Jaric, starting shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, his rep confirms.
Jaric, 29, popped the question on the voluptuous brunette beauty’s 27th birthday Thursday and presented her with a ring. The couple have been dating for about nine months.
“He asked, and she said yes. They are both incredibly happy and couldn’t be more in love,” the Serbian-born basketball star’s publicist James Weir told People.
Lima, touted in the media as one of the sexiest women in the world, has previously stated her intention to wait until after marriage before having sex for the first time, despite having famously dated rocker Lenny Kravitz and Yankees MVP Derek Jeter.
Talk about scoring.

It may not be the usual celebrity hot spot for a relaxing getaway, but Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson are showing the world that Peru is a viable vacation spot.
The two Hollywood studs headed down to Lima, Peru earlier this week, with the intention of helping out the “Casa de los Milagros.” Harrelson helps fund the orphanage, which is home to 34 children.
However, during their stay they found trouble with the local press, to the point that some of the reporters actually filed assault charges on them.
Mama Killa, the manager of the orphanage, told press, “Woody has come to Calca many times and helped with my kids, he comes every year and nothing happens. This is the first time Owen has come amidst so much rowdiness.”
Thankfully, everything was worked out and Owen and Woody made friends with the locals that had filed the charges. “I like happy endings,” Harrelson joked. And Wilson told press, “This is one of the best trips I’ve been on.”

The former Friends actress is currently in the midst of the second season of her TV show, Dirt, which airs Sunday nights at 10PM on FX.
Of the show, Cox recently told Fox Pop Tarts: “We take celebrities that are written about the most — hopefully, people will watch and say ‘are they talking about … yeah, I think they are.’ Hopefully, it will be one of those guessing games and people have a sense of humor about themselves.”
And if a celebrity doesn’t have a sense of humor about the matter, Courteney will let her hubby handle the situation.
“If somebody called me and was really mad at me, I’d assure them that it was never my intention to hurt anybody,” Cox said, adding, “But I’ll just give the phone over to David.”
