Transformers 2 Set Report: Bumblebee, Isabel Lucas And More!

Some lucky person had Michael Bay, Shia LaBoeuf and company filming outside of his window two nights ago, and he took some photos and video footage to prove it!

One scene involved Bumblebee racing down the street doing 180’s and making skid marks on the road.

In another scene /film report:

Later that night they filmed a scene where Isabel Lucas storms away from Bumblebee (in alt mode) after saying something to Sam through the passenger’s side window, leaving Shia LaBoeuf to talk to (or possibly yell at?) the car. Not exactly sure how this fits into the scene, but they were squirting this glowing green goo on Lucas. And yes, that is Michael Bay directing Shia and Isabel in the photo below.

Transformers 2: Kevin Dunn Returns, Isabel Lucas at Frat Party, and More

It has been a few days since our last Transformers 2 Update. On Wednesday, filming continued at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where both Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and that Chevy Beat concept car (not pictured) were spotted in alt mode. [tflive]

The crew has been busy shooting scenes at UPENN, which will double as Sam Witwicky’s (Shia LaBeouf) college. Kendall Whitehouse has more photos of them setting up on Flickr. Kevin Dunn, who plays Sam Witwicky’s father Ron was spotted by fadedsilverscreen with a visitor sticker on his chest. This is the first confirmation that he is featured in the sequel. Julie White who played Sam’s mother Judy Witwicky in the original film, was no where in sight.

A banner outside University of Pennsylvania’s fraternity Psi Upsilon (known as “The Castle”) advertises a frat party, which was filmed later that night.

One extra describes a scene that was shot to TFLive:

“Shia was sitting on a old wooden chair when this girl in a green short dress (who I thought was an extra) was dancing in front of him and kept leaning into him. That’s it for the scene I was in but there is a lot more to it.”

The girl in the green dress is actually Isabel Lucas, who is playing Sam’s college friend (or maybe more?) named Alice.

A sequence involving Bumblebee racing down the street doing peel outs and 180’s was also filmed on 32nd and Chestnut. Jszack caught some of it on camera.

Hayden Panettiere’s Bikini Fun In Japan

Hayden Panettiere’s Bikini Fun In Japan

While she still can’t believe the success that her television show Heroes has had, Hayden Panettiere is taking advantage of the perks that come along with being a primetime queen.

Over the past weekend, the Claire Bennet actress hopped a flight to Tiji, Japan to participate in Dave Rastovich’s annual Dolphin & Whale Cove Peaceful Demonstration.

Along with Hayden, Australian actress Isabel Lucas, as well as Hanna Fraser, also made the venture in hopes of helping out their beloved friends of the sea.

In other news on Hayden, The Feed is reporting that the 18-year-old Heroes hottie is “set to star as the queen of shock rock, Wendy O. Williams, singer of notorious ‘70s destructo-punks The Plasmatics.”

Filming is set to begin in early March 2008 with a 2009 release in mind.

Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro Back For Transformers 2!

We knew that Shia LaBeouf would be back, and that Isabel Lucas and Rainn Wilson have been added. However there hasn’t been much talk about the other cast members returning. I think most people thought that they all signed for more movies, but the question was whether their characters would be back. Thankfully, The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro will be back, playing Mikaela Banes, Captain Lennox, USAF Tech Sergeant Epps and Agent Simmons.

This is good news. It is always handy for sequels, which will eventually become trilogies, to have familiar faces.
